Papa Joe's Pizza — Restaurant in Surrey

My family have been ordering pizza from this restaurant for a long while. One of the better pizza places in the Fleetwood area with great value and tasting pizza. Inside the restaurant, there is limited seating but it's really meant for pickup only. The ladies who work there are very friendly.

They have special discounts and most recent one is 50% off all pizzas for pick up only. When choosing any pizza (small/medium/large), you can choose your crust (pan pizza, thin crust or gluten free crust [extra cost]) then your sauce (red marinara sauce, white garlic ranch white sauce, BBQ, caesar, ranch [last 3 sauces extra cost]). Extra toppings = extra cost.

This time we ordered their: (1) Meat Lovers pizza (comes with bacon, salami, pepperoni, Italian sausage and capicola) - pan pizza in white garlic sauce; (2) Butter Chicken pizza (comes with marinated butter sauce chicken, onions, green peppers, tomatoes and butter sauce) - pan pizza in red marinara sauce; and (3) Tandoori Paneer pizza (comes with marinated tandoori paneer, onions, green peppers, tomatoes and jalapenos) - pan pizza in red marinara sauce.

Overall all 3 pizzas were delicious and very affordable (~$35 with tip). Not sure if the butter chicken pizza mixes the red marinara with the butter chicken sauce. My kid said it tasted weird but I think the veggies turned him off. My wife loved the tandoori paneer pizza as it was a veggie option. Will be ordering from this location again...

The good: lots of toppings, decent pricing, very quick, sauce is really tasty (could use more).

Not so good: keep in mind this was our first order so this might not be the regular situation...

Our Pizza's were wet. The underside was almost soggy. I literally put the pizza in our oven on 400 for nearly 10 minutes. It seems the pizza comes out quick here as a priority over a complete cook. We did order a pizza with onions and green peppers and a ham and pineapple, but still, the pizza's underside is wet. Moving the boxes off of my stove left a lot of moisture behind.

I will order here again to see if this was an irregular occurrence. There is a lack of good pizza in this area of Surrey so I am hoping that Papa Joe will read this and work on the issue. After our next order, I will update here and on the one bite app.

We need a solid pizza in Fleetwood. I hate driving to Langley for a good slice. C'mon Papa...

I have been coming to this pizza shop since 2011. I had such a good relationship with all previous owners who greeted their customers with a smile and always stood by their pricing being offered on their flyer or website. I am extremely disappointed since these new owners have taken over. They over charge me every time! Today I picked up 2 med 1 to 2 topping pizzas . The price on their website is $8 per pizza . When I went to pick up my 2 meds she told me $21. When I confronted her and showed her the web price . She said well then you can give me $20. She indicated the prices have changed. I showed her the menu pamphlet on their counter and it stated $9 per med 2 topping for pick up. She said well just give me $20. Didn’t make any sense to me how this business is charging people! Needless to say, they lost my business and all the people I used to refer. I won’t be going back and I will tell others to be...
