On Sept 17/23 I ordered 2 coffees one was a vente which I was paying for with points collected and the other was a grande paying with my pre loaded app(card) which had $8.33 left on it. The girl at the till rung me up but did it incorrectly. She took my points and the money on my card plus asked me for an additional $6.06 ??? I asked her why I owe her $6.06? She said that was the balance owing? Confused I handed her a $10 bill as the line up was crazy coming into the Starbucks as well as the line up forming behind us. Then something didn't sit right with me so I asked her again to please explain why she took the money from card and asked for an additional $6.06? She said, "oh I made a mistake"! She called for her manager Naz, the manager came over and said, "explain what's going on" while looking at me and the cashier? So, the girl at the till explained and Naz voided the transaction but still owed me money back. I asked for my $10 bill back and Naz said "why would I give you $10 back"? I replied because she took and extra $10 cash plus and extra $2-3 balance on my pre-loaded card. She wasn't listening to the situation she insisted I give the change back..."sure no problem", I replied... but I need my $10 back as well please. She rolled for eyes opened the till and took out the $10 bill and said with her hand out... "the change , I need that back"! Wow I wasn't going to keep her change I just wanted the transaction rectified and my money returned to me. Naz was not the friendliest manager she had a rude tone and she was unwilling to listen properly to what cashier was trying to explain that she did incorrectly. This type of attitude should not be displayed to your customers when they are just trying to get there coffee and go. I wasn't in the wrong her cashier was and Naz wasn't very kind to her staff either. There was 1 barista, I cashier , 3 people in the back walking around and this manger Naz who could have lent a hand in clearing up the line but never did. I love Starbucks and I realize it's a busy place but never have I ever experienced a 1 hour wait in line for a simple coffee. Unfortunately, I will never return to...
Read moreIf I could give a zero star I would. let me start by saying this was the worst experience I had at a Starbucks branch. My first time and definitely my last. 0 or even negative to the customer service. The girl who was taking my order looked like she hated her job and wanted to be anywhere but there and this is 9am, didn’t even say hi!! placed the order and waited for my drink and breakfast sandwich. The employees were chatting with each other, laughing while at least 5 people were waiting in the line up. I got my drink and because I didn’t see my sandwich going in their oven I asked the girl who was standing on the “pick up your order” side. She was working with an ipad when I approached her and said hey sorry… she didn’t even look at me and while she’s typing something on the ipad said “what’s up?” I said I just wanted to see if my sandwich is getting ready, she giggled multiple times and said I’ll look. stood there still typing on the ipad, I asked if that was funny or my question sounded funny to her. She said no it’s just like I have so much to do and we are so under staff and people are asking for too many things and then you came and asked me to check on your sandwich so I was like aaah one more thing added!!! She then continued typing and then went and put my sandwich in the oven! God knows if I didn’t ask how much longer they would’ve taken to give me my order.
I was shocked by this girl’s behaviour. Is this my problem that you guys are understaff? Hire people who like working there and like to work under pressure. Firstly you hire the wrong people then possibly they don’t get the training they should and have no idea whatsoever what customer service is! This branch is a shame to Starbucks and they need to look into the management and staff! An absolutely...
Read moreYesterday while on a road trip, I was at a different Starbucks with my travel mug which they rinsed and filled no problem with my order. This Starbucks completely refused to give me a coffee “we don’t take dirty mugs.” Even when I showed her & explained there was only an inch of Starbucks coffee in the bottom, still refused to help me. No doubt the policy is affected by covid times but please employ common sense also....!? I take it employees can wash their hands or wear gloves if they are so afraid of taking a mug with their own coffee in it?? LoL They used to give you an discount for using your own mug, now they refuse to serve you! Instead you get a throwaway cup with another plastic lid so you cause more pollution. The overflowing garbage mixed with “recycling” mess also reminded me that Starbucks is a chain that does NOT do enough about being environmental— in view of the impact they have on the environment with their millions of cups and plastic items etc... I will resume going out of my way to small independent cafes that actually recycle properly and will serve their customers. I urge you to think especially in these covid times of supporting local owners and not multinational chains that employ inconsistent policies from shop to shop, but can’t employ...
