UPDATE JULY 2024 1 star āļø Decided to give this location another try after a couple months, for convenience due to construction along Fraser Hwy. Disappointed yet again.
I got their $5 iced coffee and bakery item promotion. I mobile ordered my iced coffee with my customizations, including extra caramel drizzle which I paid an additional 60 cents plus tax for.
At the store I noticed my drink was FULL of ice. Like half of cup was actually just ice. It melted quickly due to the heat but it was like they were trying to compensate for the promotionā¦
Upon leaving I realized there was no caramel drizzle in my drink, not on the top like usual or on the bottom. They just left it out. I paid extra for that. This isnāt the first time theyāve left out a customization on my iced coffee which is an additional charge, as stated in the original review.
Staff did not greet me or say hello or thank you. Wasnāt that busy either. Everyone used to be super friendly and talkative at this location but now thereās little to no customer service or even a smile.
I will be taking my own advice and going to a different location. I will now only be coming here to redeem my free rewards drinks š«”š«”

This used to be my go-to Starbucks for many years, staff were friendly and many of the longtime staff knew me and my typical order. Itās close enough to my house I can walk to it and close enough to my work that Iād often go on my lunch breaks.
Yet the past few times Iāve gone Iāve experienced a lack in both customer service and quality.
For years whenever Iāve ordered a drink with cold foam, I always ask for it in a cup one size bigger, usually a grande in a venti cup, so that the cold foam doesnāt get all stuck to the lid and so that they actually pour in the full amount of my drink. Usually the baristas will either fill it up with extra ice or sometimes extra milk in my lattes.
But recently theyāve stopped doing this. One lady who has been there a long time who I donāt typically experience (sheās often in the morning or just not at the register) never gives me a venti cup when she makes my mobile order. She always just leaves it in a grande cup. Iām not trying to get āextraā drink for less. Iām trying to make it so when I pay an extra $1.25 for the cold foam, Iām actually still getting the total amount of my drink AND the cold foam. Iāve often times watched baristas pour out some of my drink or cold foam because it doesnāt all fit in the regular sized cup (since the cold foam is applied after ice)
My mom also had an altercation with this same lady after inquiring about her drink and the lady was very rude and snobby towards her, with poor customer service. Did not apologize for the inconvenience/confusion either.
Theyāve also stopped topping up my drink with extra ice/milk to make the cup look more full. This isnāt the largest issue for me since again the purpose is not to get more drink, but it was always nice. My usual staff also knew that I liked extra ice in my drinks anyhow, so that was an easy way to get more without sacrificing my actual drink.
Sooo yeah Iāve also noticed the quality of drinks here is real hit or miss. Theyāll skimp out on ingredients (especially the ones you pay extra for) or drinks will just taste different each time. Sometimes they miss ingredients all together. Like Iāve ordered an iced coffee twice with cold foam and theyāve just not added the foam on top.
Iāve started going to the 152nd location instead, and that one is much better and more consistent. The regular employees arenāt as friendly as the ones Iāve often encountered at this one, but I mostly mobile order so it doesnāt matter too much. They give me exactly what I ask for every time. The staff here are polite with those that come in without masks. They provide masks to customers that enter without masks instead of turning them away.
That being said however, there are tables that you pass by in line until you get to the very front of the line to receive your mask. These tables of mask less people (because they are drinking coffee) are way less than 2 meters from the lineup so there is no Social Distancing at all. There are standing bars that are located along the far window which may be 2 meters from those tables, but it forces people who aren't staying to basically walk between the tables and the standing bar and even brush up against them. In Covid19 times this place is not even close to being setup properly. It would be the perfect place to spread...

I see partners being bullied on the floor by eachother and itās so awful! One of the closing supervisors, he wears glasses and is always wearing a hat.. heās wonderful and a perfect example of how a partner should be. I think the person who I saw working with him a few times named josh, heās so funny and tries so hard too!
