Brownsville Pub Surrey BC I had heard the rumours, saw the reviews and after many years when a friends band is playing you FINALLY go! My friend had the Beef Dip and fries $18, he ate the whole thing and gave a thumbs up so I'm assuming it was good. Looked alright. I had the Daddy O Burger $15 now it didn't say bacon but there was lots of bacon. The onion rings were very good, the tomato, lettuce, and purple onion were fresh and I was surprised for the price that it was a nice beef burger that looked made in house and char broiled which gave a nice flavour. Not a frozen premade paty. Fries were tasty and properly cooked. Hubby had a pale ale on tap and he said it didn't taste great. If taps aren't maintained it affects the flavour. I had the only white wine, Jackson Triggs Chardonnay, meh. No clue the prices as our friend paid the bill. Our server was excellent and fast! Over all I'd give it a 3.5/5 and I will go back for the food. Especially the Onion Rings and burger!

We were visiting Brownsville Park and decided to check out this pub, only because we have seen it a few times on Supernatural. From the beginning, we had pretty low expectations. And that what it was. I can see how they choose this location for filming – it has this classic middle-of-nowhere run down bar feel to it. Not particularly a bad thing. The crowd is rather specific, as well. There are three beers on tap, and they go by type. The waitress wasn't even sure what breweries they come from. Pretty cool beer mugs, though. We went for a basket for two, since it was advertised. It was a pretty decent set of deep-fried items, and I liked cream cheese wontons. There were wings listed, among other items, but we didn't get any. Basically, it was exactly what we were expecting it to be. Good to visit once if you like seeing places where movies/ tv-shows were shot, but that's about it. On a side note, our waitress was very nice.

Hanging out on a sunny summer afternoon. Love this place, really down home feeling. Great customer service and the two girls that are serving are a lot of fun to chat with. I'm haveing the burger with mushrooms. Mushrooms are extra but worth it. when I asked her what she recommended from the menu she said, "You can't go wrong with the wings". I guess I'll have to try the wings next time I'm here.

I went to The Brownsville Pub not long ago, and honestly, it’s exactly the kind of place you want if you’re looking for a laid-back night with good drinks and a lively vibe. The second I walked in, I caught that unmistakable pub atmosphere—dim lighting, chatter at the bar, laughter from the tables, and the smell of comfort food coming from the kitchen. It felt instantly inviting. The beer selection was impressive, with a solid lineup of local taps alongside the classics. I tried a couple of the local brews, and they were cold, fresh, and poured just right. There’s something about sipping a pint in a spot like this that makes you feel part of the community. The bar staff were friendly, quick with recommendations, and had that easy-going humor that keeps the mood light. Food-wise, it’s exactly what you want in a pub—no fuss, just good hearty plates that pair perfectly with a pint. I went for wings and nachos to share, and both hit the spot. Nothing fancy, but tasty, filling, and delivered fast even though the place was buzzing. What really made the night memorable was the live music. A local band was playing, and it gave the whole pub an extra kick of energy. People were tapping their feet, some even singing along, and it turned a casual night out into something special. The mix of music, laughter, and clinking glasses made the atmosphere feel alive in the best way. Sure, it can get a little loud, but that’s part of the charm. If you’re looking for quiet, this isn’t it. But if you want a fun night with great beer, friendly people, and a true pub vibe, The Brownsville Pub delivers exactly that. I’ll be back for the music, the pints, and...

Worst experience ever. I never ever went to a restaurant/pub and the waiter/waitress forget to bring my food order. I went Wednesday, September 21st to see that comedy show-Fringe Tastic with a group of friends and our waitress ( the blonde tall one with black capri leggings and black t-shirt) told us that she doesn't take food order in same time with drinks order. We ordered drinks and at our table were 6 persons (3 couples), idk how my friend managed to order her and her husband food but she received their drinks and little bit later the food, I think she went with the menu to the waitress. A saw the waitress how she's walking at every table and asking if someone ordered those plates, finally she found the clients (our friends). We put our order, the show already has started and we are waiting from 7:48 pm until 8:50 pm and nothing, she came once with a plate of fries to our table and after that she said they are yam fries and we(me and my husband) didn't order yam fries, we ordered French fries. Around 9 pm the show was almost over and we wanted to go, our friends already let us know they are leaving and our waitress asked us if we received the food, I told her no we didn't and it's too late, the order it's canceled. My husband also told me that he never will go there. Maybe it's about our accent, finally we went in another place to order something to eat where they don't care about our accent. The show was pretty good but the...

This place is a hidden gem! I live in Lynn Valley in North Van. I was tired, hungry, it was cold, rainy and dark outside and I was making my way home from Surrey on a Saturday evening. I missed a couple turns and knew it was time to grab some food and reset before continuing my journey. I came across this place completely by chance and I’ll be honest, at first glance I felt a little nervous about going in. It felt like it was in the middle of know where and I wasn’t sure what the crowd would be like, especially as a female English twit from North Van. I went in and hands down met the most warm, welcome and kind people. I was offered homemade cookies (mint chocolate!!) and ate the best nachos I’ve had in Vancouver yet (been here 6.5 years now). This place is so good!! They do classic bingo that’s hard to find (very nostalgic and fun), they had a great pool table and awesome heated outdoor area. The people are what made it though and the staff were so friendly, kind and accommodating, they made the place feel like home. Best random find ever. Thank...
