My hubby and I went there Around 2:35 pm. They gave us window seats. Only 2 tables of customers there, including our table, not busy.
Our waiter gave us alcohol menu and dinner menu, after we sat down. I tried to ask For lunch menu, but the waiter told us, they don't have lunch menu on holiday. But someone who answer their phone at 1:30pm. They serve lunch at 2:30 pm?
Our waiter said, " you can order roasted lamb, we can split it into 2 dishes for you, but we will charge you $3 more" Then he left.
I tried to order their appetizer...Steamed mussels, but our waiter told us, they sold out.. so disappointed ๐
So, We ordered chicken livers And Red sangria to start, after 5 minutes.
Chicken livers --- deep fried onions on top, But not crispy --- 8 big pieces of tasteless oily chicken livers --- with thick and tasteless tzatziki ๐ --- we don't like it
Red sangria --- tasteless and too much ice
Pita bread --- look oily and pale, when they served --- but surprisingly.. it's fresh, hot and Crispy, after you bite on it ๐
We tried to ask for happy hour menu around 2:45pm. Our waiter said, " you only can order after 3 pm. The food item with green logo will charge half price, but of course Half portion of regular size" With unhappy voice.
After we checked their happy hour menu, not much Greek food, look like pub's menu..
Then we ordered roasted lamb @ 3 p.m. with our waiter.
The waiter tried to take All the menu from us And leave, after we ordered the roasted lamb.
I told him.. I still need to order more food Later.. then his service changed From impatience services to good and fast services.
After the roasted lamb showed up... --- the roasted lamb was crispy And tasty outside, juicy and soft inside --- their rice is made with tomato and herbs, But too hard for us and tasteless.. --- My hubby and I had one Scoop each and leave it aside.. --- roasted potato was too hard and tasteless
Our waiter and another Lady showed up every 5 minutes for changing plates, refill ice water and Asked us, " how's the food?" After my hubby ordered more food ...
Kalamari --- so fresh, hot, crispy And tasty Kalamari ๐ --- we like it
Hot wings from happy hour menu --- look spicy to me, when they served, because they put a lot of chili on top --- but it's not spicy at all, Just sour, but too dried
Mixed satay From happy hour --- look messy when they served ๐ --- got 6 small pieces of Tasty juicy chicken --- 2 small pieces of Dried chewy beef --- 2 small pieces of tasty and tender Lamb meat with a lot of dried Rice and pita bread --- we like the lamb and chicken meat ๐
We had a lot of rice leftover, Because it's too hard for us.
We just pack the pita bread home. My hubby likes the Pita bread, but we cannot finish it. We just pack to go.
I paid $78.70 + 20% tips For their good services
We will go there again for roasted lamb...

Whoever answered the phone was kind and said no they were not busy and to come on in. We arrive at 10 pm. Upon arrival the waitress looked at us like she did not want to take us. She asked us to wait to see if the kitchen is open. She comes back to inform us they have shut off the fryer which was fine with us. They could only grill food. We ordered an Alfredo pasta with mushrooms. The pasta came so quickly and it had no mushrooms and it was so bland. I informed the waitress that their is no mushrooms and she looked at me like no they are in the sauce.. I was looking at her like are you serious? There's clearly no mushrooms in the pasta. She brings over the mushrooms after the pasta was cold. She took back the mushrooms and grabbed the pasta plates out of my face as we're trying to still eat. She was an absolute disaster of a waitress. We also ordered the veggie platter for two and boy were the portions so small. This platter was literally for ONE not TWO. They could not provide us with the mozzarella sticks or zucchini sticks because their fryer was off. The waitress still had the audacity to charge us an extra $10 for substituting another spanakopita and the lamest potatoes I've ever eaten. How is it the customers fault the kitchen turned the fryer off before well over closing? You had a full hour to still serve customers. Maybe you should shut your business down since you people lack major customer service skills plus your food sucks. OPA as a fast food chain is 100 times better than Stefanos. The customer service I receive from OPA locations is remarkable. Stefano's needs to new waitresses who are honest and who are happy to serve customers. When we went to pay the bill, my boyfriend let the waitress know we were unhappy with our food and service and in response she was like "I told you were closing".. What type of response is that when you have paying customers? I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone or will not be returning. Hands down the worst greek restaurant in the lower mainland. Please do not waste your money here. You will be left hungry and disappointed. I normally read reviews before eating at a restaurant for the first time unfortunately I did not. Stefanos you left me hungry and disappointed I ended up going to Dominion in surrey which was my original choice for dinner. Dominion had superb service! At least they left me happy. My friends and I came to Stefanos celebrating the birthdays of two of our friends. One of my friends has a severe allergy to garlic and onion and CLEARLY requested to have his order made without onion and garlic. MULTIPLE TIMES. After getting through halfway of his food, he found an onion in the salad. Yes, he ate half of it and then found the onion, but even the process of cross contamination across the plate of food is just as dangerous, and that is coming from someone that is studying in microbiology and health sciences currently.
We brought up the issue to the waitress as soon as we could and she apologized immediately. Then the bill came where he had to pay for the food that would be giving him a severe allergic reaction and the exposure to onion and garlic will prevent him from going into work for the next few days. We brought up this issue to the waitress and she called the manager over to handle the issue.
After explaining the situation to the manager, his response was "you tell me when you're in the hospital and then we will comp you" in an extremely hostile tone. How unbelievably disrespectful. After a few of our other friends pitched in this unfair behaviour especially for a severe allergy, the manager said that he would waive our friend's bill and then walked away scoffing and shaking his head.
The manager's reaction to the situation was extremely hot-headed and disrespectful. Instead of showing concern and empathy, the manager was very hostile to complaints which made me feel very unsafe and frightened to be in the restaurant.
