-Location: On the former site of Brownsville and Kikait, a First Nations fishing camp. Historically significant for the Kwantlen people's summer fishing activities.

Features: Includes a polluted beach/sandbar area.

Daytime Activities: Known for good fishing on the bar.

Nighttime Activities: Popular for fires and social gatherings, with notable consumption of liquor. I personally do not recommend doing this.

Safety Concerns: The area of the Fraser River here is polluted and has dangerous currents; not recommended for certain activities. Not safe for children or for pets

Maintenance Issues: Park is poorly maintained with a rat and vermin problem due to leftover food scraps and garbage from nighttime visitors.

Scenic Views: Offers beautiful nighttime views of New Westminster from the Surrey side.

Overall, I do not recommend this place for children or for pets due to the hazards present in this environment and all the garbage and rats that...

This park is located directly underneath at the patella bridge down by the Scott road SkyTrain station this park is located directly along the Fraser River and it's a beautiful little place almost feels hidden and tucked away . There's tons of parking for anybody who wish to come for the day with their fishing gear in hand or maybe just a simple Beach blanket to relax on for the day. In the summertime is not necessarily the greatest place to bring younger children as there tends to be some drinking and other adult oriented activities that tend. to happen along that part of town the Brownsville pub is located just across the way. My safety never really been much of a concern for me while going down there when I've gone down there seems to be police who monitor the area quite frequently and the people who are also down there enjoying the park tend to be...

Park is at excellent location, but parking lot need to be paved bcoz once you get back to you car your shoes and car mat gets so dirty it need car wash again .

For Dark time needs bit more lighting

I visited here few times here now after my 1st visit but I am sorry to say if you are going with your family please avoid this place in evening coz some rotten apple of society are making this place lovers point. I witnessed with my family girls and boys in openly sitting on each other laps on benches and kissing and stuff (specially students from Punjab-India ). I believe either I am getting old or rules for parks like these are getting way advanced according to my...

Very convenient small park with a view of thr city, bridge , mountains n ocean. Park itself is not so big but good enough to walk ur dog around or take a stroll yourself. No rides or picnic benches but enough ground area to spread ur mat. There are benches to sit though. Small beach area where anyone can play with sand, dip ur feet in water or just enjoy a sun bath but no bonfires allowed. Pets on leash n definitely no party . Some people do it anyway but the trouble is big. Fines by parks n recreation staff so better stick with rules. Enough parking n outside bathroom . This park is great for a quick get away talk , thinking or just a small picnic.

Brownsville Bar Park is the perfect place to get the best view of bridges in Sunny. It’s a small but busy park where neighbouring residents come to fish in the river, party on the riverbank, and date in front of the beautiful sunset glow and bridge view. I especially like the poetic scene on the river: fisherman in a boat crossing under the bridge and geese leisurely swimming in line. This park is adjacent to Brownsville Pub. Today, November 17, 2021, I revisited the park, amazing at its autumn view and early sunset scenery.
