This place has always been a go to steakhouse because it is so close to us. I would like to say that our server Debra E. Was so wonderful and made our dining experience very comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend coming to this Keg for great service and the food is amazing as well! Since we were celebrating my birthday, we (wife and I) got two 20oz Rib Steaks with two twice baked potatoes and the garnish was green beans sautéed mushrooms and I believe a turnip as well. One Med and the other Med Rare (MR) we usually get the bone taken out but this time we forgot to ask, but nonetheless it was delicious! Next my son had the Cheesy noodles (macaroni with white cheese) and his eyes lit up when he took his first bite. We chose the veggie sides for him and it came with assorted vegetables like asparagus, bell peppers and broccoli. For my daughter we got her the chicken strips with fries. She eats anything so it’s hard to tell if she enjoyed it more than a fast food joints chicken strips. My wife enjoyed a 9oz of the Sumac Ridge Cab/Merlot with her steak and said the pairing was just right. Afterwards the kids got their ice creams and had the choice of chocolate or Carmel drizzle. Needless to say we got one of each and to our surprise Debra brought out a Billy miner pie (ice cream cake) with a lit candle on top for us to enjoy the last part of our dinner experience. (I tried taking a picture before the carnage but the kids could not wait…) Price: We chose to get one of the more expensive steaks because we were celebrating my birthday so the price for the steaks is actually on point. The kids meals are great because it comes with so much variety, from main dish, sides, drink and desert. So their meals are definitely worth the amount they charge. ⭐️ Portion/palate: Because we had steaks for our dinner the portion is dependent on the amount of ounces you choose. The garnish and the sides also make the difference (baked potato, twice baked, fries and seasonal vegetables for the garnish). We love steaks and so it was very delicious to us both. Also the kids loved their food as well. ⭐️ Place: This location again is perfect for us because we live so close. There is sufficient parking but if you come lets say during Mother’s Day or dinner time (5 to 7pm) you’re driving around looking for a spot. But we come early so there is plenty of spots for our vehicle. The restaurant itself is very nice inside and has lots of room. It doesn’t feel congested and you don’t feel rushed to leave as soon as you arrive. ⭐️ People: The people working here are always amazing to us. I have yet to have a bad experience at a Keg restaurant. We sat close to the kitchen so I could see how the staff were while we waited for our food and it seems like everyone was busy but always had a smile on. ⭐️ This restaurant deserves 5 stars because it met all my requirements for me to rate it. Mostly the service was great, Thank you to the staff for always making it memorable and to Debra E. Thank you again for helping make my birthday easy and fun for the kids!( If you’re a parent you’ll understand)

Getting your meat done right… There’s a split among my friends on the Keg, in regards of likes and dislikes but I personally enjoy the consistency of this chain. As far back as I can remember, any mistake or unsatisfactory were made right. Anyways, first time visiting this location since I was in the mood for some appies and meat. This place is located in south Surrey on 200th street, same plaza as Sungiven and Tap & Barrel. There are plentiful of free plaza parkings available. Inside has the same layout and concept as most Kegs; tables and semi booth seats by the bar with TVs, to the back are the main dining area with the tables and booth seats. Here were the food I ordered; 1. Complimentary bread with butter. Always nice and warm. 2. French onion soup. A nice and hearty soup with a nice layer of baked cheese on top. Good for the cold or rainy days. 3. Prawn cocktail. Good size with a fresh light crunch to it. 4. Mushroom Neptune. Always one of my favourite here, I personally think one of the better ones compared to other places. 5. Scallops and bacon. It was okay, the bacon a bit overcooked, became too crispy. 6. 10oz prime rib with snow crab clusters. One of the juiciest and tenderest prime rib I had in a long time, even compared to other locations. However the snow crab was quite dry. 7. 7oz filet mignon with snow crab clusters. It was tender and nicely done as usual, but once again the snow crab was quite dry. Overall, the atmosphere was quite casual and relaxing. The energy was friendly and positive with minimal noises even though seated close to the bar. The service was quite attentive and good which made the dining experience here more enjoyable. As for the food; the appies were good, the steaks were tender and juicy, the snow crabs however were quite dry and disappointing. Nevertheless, if you want your meat done right, the Keg it is for its consistency.

I recently dined at The Keg, expecting a satisfying meal, but was left thoroughly disappointed, particularly by the chicken and fries. We specifically ordered “grilled” chicken to couple our Caesar salads, but the chicken arrived lackluster and bland, its texture bordering on rubbery, as if it had been hastily overcooked. There was no succulence, no depth of flavor—just an uninspired piece of protein that left much to be desired. The fries, too, were a letdown. Limp and soggy, they lacked the crispness that even the simplest fry should boast. Their insipid seasoning left them devoid of any redeeming quality, tasting as though they had been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long. (Sacasticslly) Remember to add “Parmesan” to the fries! In a restaurant that prides itself on quality, this was a disheartening experience. The chicken and fries, two staples of any respectable menu, were executed with alarming carelessness. Furthermore I also ordered an Aperol Spritz expecting the refreshing, vibrant cocktail it's known to be. What I received, however, was an absolute disappointment—a watered-down, flavorless shadow of the classic drink. The Aperol was barely detectable, and the effervescence of the prosecco was completely muted, leaving me with something that resembled flavored water more than a proper cocktail. The balance of flavors was entirely off, as if the drink had been prepared without care or understanding of its simple elegance. To call it an Aperol Spritz would be generous; it was a diluted, uninspired attempt that left me regretting my choice. For a restaurant of this caliber, I expected far better. If you’re reading this as a potential diner, avoid this establishment at all costs. If you’re in charge of food quality at the Keg, please have your team get in touch with me. I look forward to your emails.

Just had a wonderful dinner at the South Surrey Keg. Started with their bread which is always delicious. Could have had more butter with it. Sometimes you're given the regular whipped butter and their cheese butter, but this is not always consistent? Why? You can always ask for more but having to ask disrupts the dining experience in my opinion. Nice to have the choice of the two and provides more butter to be enjoyed with the bread. Just saying. Mushrooms Neptune was decadent as always and I mean decadent. I was trying to get every little bit with the tiny shrimp fork you're given. Lol. My Mom had the baked garlic shrimp which was also really good. Peppercorn New York steak cooked Medium with peppercorn gravy on the side. Could have been more gravy but you can always ask for another one as it is served in the really small metal condiment dish, but if given more in the first place, saves the customer from having to ask. Which again, provides a more satisfying and uninterrupted dining experience. The steak melted in your mouth and was a large cut. Peppered to absolute perfection. I could only eat half of it but doggie bagged the rest. Atlantic lobster tail that was a good size and cooked perfectly. Only thing I missed with the lobster was no heated butter dish with the candle at the bottom that has a bigger bowl and holds more of the lobster. Also keeps the lobster hot. Melted butter was on the plate but in a tiny metal condiment dish you would serve ketchup in. Sorry guys, it just wasnt the same and lacked. I prefer the heated hot butter dish for all the obvious reasons. Vegetables were zucchini and red pepper grilled to perfection but my Mom chose their fried battered frizzled onions which she loves. You can also get asparagus if you prefer, so some choices for veg or veg substitute. Their button mushrooms are also delicious. Garlic mashed made with red potatoes and were so good and I was really satisfied to see that we were given a generous amount of mashed potatoes this time. On previous dining experiences at the Keg, I received a very small portion so was really happy to see they have increased the portion for all us meat and potatoes lovers! To top the whole dinner off was the wine. I chose for us a Shiraz from Eastern Australia. Jacob's Creek I think it was called. It was full bodied, dry and super smooth and went amazingly well with the meal. 9 oz of course, times 2. Just perfection. We had no dessert but the dessert menu is pretty good if you have room. We didn't. Last but definitely not least was our server. Professional and gave us fantastic service throughout our dining experience and we appreciated it. Even thanked me on my way out for coming in. Nice touch. Gave 4 stars for atmosphere. Atmosphere is great but I was with my Mom who is a senior. Fine for me but for her it was a little too dark. I personally like it so not a flaw, just a personal preference for older folk I think. The jist? Had a fantastic meal with my Mom who is 84 and a superb dining experience, so big thank you South...

I've been coming here for years. The Keg standard at this location has gone downhill. I can deal with the food taking a long time, perhaps cooked wrong, even a messy bathroom. What I am so upset about is that my husband made a reservation for us the day before Valentines Day to ensure we had a table well in advance. Reservation was for Feb 13th at 7pm for just two people. We showed up at quarter to 7 expecting to wait no problem, but we waited until 7:32 (47 minutes) standing as no one said a word to us. There were four people at the front counter. All of which did not smile, even when we came in said hello they weren't friendly whatsoever. It was like we were bothering them. I didn't get a beeper/buzzer. There was space in the lounge, so at 7:32 I very nicely approached for the first time and the four girls were like "well we are busy. Sorry. We still don't have a table for you" I said why couldn't we have sat at the bar or something? I was easy going and wouldn't have minded. The blonde girl smiles and goes "I can put you on a list if you want." I couldn't believe the attitude and the lack of organization. It wasn't even a weekend and I think everything about this experience was atrocious. I left in tears because I look forward to this special day (my husband and I also have our anniversary this time). Also on top of that three men came in without a reservation and knew someone working there and they let them in ahead of us.

I went to the Langley Keg on a whim the next day (on Valentines day) without a reservation and they were so friendly and professional. They sat us immediately which I did not expect. I will now have to drive from White Rock to the Langley location anytime to avoid the attitude and lack of care from the staff. I used to love going here all the time. I hope they do something about this, because I spoke to some other people I know in the South Surrey community and they agree. This place doesn't care if you go or not.

If you're busy you should organize better, being busy as a business owner myself means you should restructure/rehire/retrain your staff so that things flow smoothly and you don't...
