I came to this restaurant for the first time on Friday, and it was so good I came back on Sunday because I was craving more!
Full disclosure I am not Indian, but I grew up here in Surrey since a was a child I've been eating real home made Indian food at many friends houses, learning how to cook roti with my neighbors mom, cooking it at home myself, as well as eating at many Indian restaurants. So I definitely know what good Indian food tastes like.
I can say with al honesty, this is one of the best tasting Indian restaurants I've experienced.
Where to begin... The roti was the best I've ever had since my neighbors mom's home cooked traditional roti. They hand make their roti which explains why it's so amazing. Soft and crispy at the same time with the perfect thickness. I would go here for just their roti alone. Honestly.
I wanna jump into the rest of the food but first I need to talk about the staff. The Staff were amazing, friendly, honest, and helpful. If it weren't for them, I would have missed out on trying this amazing restaurant. I wanted to order the non veg all day platter, when I told them I can't eat dishes made with cream, they were super accommodating and subbed some items so I could still get the platter. Many places don't do that, and like I said I am so so so happy they did accommodate, because that is the reason I stayed and ordered their food. So, the staff got me to stay as a customer, I really appreciated their amazing hospitality, and they checked in while I was eating to make sure everything was okay.
Their food is so delicious!!! I got the all day non veg platter, but I got the curry chicken instead of the butter chicken, kebab instead of the tandori chicken, and roti instead of naan. I can have yogurt, and I love raita it was so delicious. I had a tiny taste of the dessert which was so yummy, but due to my intolerance I couldn't eat it. Everything else I kept the same on the platter and it was AMAZING! Honestly, this platter was so good I got the exact same thing when I came back 2 days later, and so did my dinner date. Then he thanked me all evening for introducing him to this restaurant, because it was the best tasting Indian food he's ever had, and now he's also obsessed.
I love aesthetics and they really presented the food just as perfectly as it tasted. Beautiful silver mirrored platters, bowls, water jugs, and cutlery, with beautiful designs, and gold accents. Everything they served on the table was so visually pleasing.
It's a very affordable, comfortable, relaxed, and casual restaurant. Perfect place to go alone or with company to eat a delicious home-cooked tasting meal. The food was all reasonably priced, I especially was happy to see that they have well priced, affordable, lunch and all-day platter specials.
What to expect: They have really good modern Indian music, which I loved. They play sports on their big screen tv near the back booths. It's not a large restaurant, but it is well laid out and wherever you sit you felt like you had some privacy. They have the front counter where you can order take out, and where you pay after your meal, if you decided to sit and eat. I was going to order pick up, but decided to stay in and eat, which I'm glad I did so I could get the full experience of the beautiful food presentation. The booths are comfy, and the tables are large. They were playing rugby on the TV on Friday and basketball on Saturday. Some people were there on dates, some alone, some with friends/family, and some looked like business lunches. I really feel it's a one size fits all restaurant.
Check out the photos of my Yummy food, and hopefully you get the opportunity to try this amazing restaurant out.
I'm definitely going to be...
Read moreExceptional Food Quality and Portion Sizes at Tomato's
I've had the pleasure of visiting Tomato's for both lunch and dinner on numerous occasions, and I must say that their food consistently exceeds expectations.
During my recent lunch visit, I was particularly impressed with the combo options available. The portion sizes were generous, and the quality of the food was exceptional. The dishes were perfectly cooked, and the flavors were outstanding. I especially enjoyed the hot and crispy naan, which complemented the meal perfectly. The vegetable Thali I ordered was delicious and satisfying, making it a memorable dining experience.
However, I encountered a disappointing situation when trying to order a vegetarian Thali through Uber Eats. Despite the Thali being unavailable for delivery, I suggested substituting items of equivalent value to match the Thali's price. Unfortunately, I was informed that I would need to pay an additional $3 charge, which I found unprofessional and frustrating. This discrepancy in pricing left me feeling dissatisfied with the customer service experience.
Overall, while Tomato's continues to impress with its exceptional food quality and portion sizes, the handling of additional charges detracted from an otherwise enjoyable dining experience. I hope the restaurant addresses this issue to ensure a more consistent and customer-friendly service...

If you are looking for a home styled meal, great service, and comfy ambience then this is the place to go. My boyfriend and I have become regulars here and have brought almost everyone we know to try it. Anyone we’ve introduced to this place has loved it just as much as us. We brought his entire family and they couldn’t get enough! At the end of dinner we ordered dessert and they gave us extra which was really sweet.
They give generous portions for a really good price. We’ve tried the goat curry, chicken rogan jose, shai paneer, kadahi paneer, veg manchurian, and many more dishes and everything was delicious. I am so impressed by the consistency in the taste of every dish. Definitely my go to place whenever I am craving Indian food. I highly recommend trying...
