Tasty Donair — Restaurant in Surrey

I'm re doing my review not cause of the food or the nice women that work there I'm complaining about the owner the guy is a control freak .... I had the worst experience right from the beginning..... He rushed in after bringing in the garbage ... I go into.the store with my two kids. I start speaking with one of the workers there they were happy to.see me and felt the same I had a warm greeting from them . Then pushing his way in the owner comes in shoooos off one of the girls .... He rushed out his words just a messs ... from trying to take my order I had 2 separate orders and he messed that up kept repeating himself to the women like he treated them like they didn't know anything I felt bad for them as well a family in his same culture leaving after eating a he completely stop and start talking to them in the middle of my order ... hey that didn't bother me I under stand each other's respect for each other ok now we start again from thete messed up the debit payment and tried taking a order from the new guest that came in from telling the ladies what to do cause he kept screwing up His excuse he was tierd .... hey buddy I'm a hard working woman to I don't complain to my customers I'm tierd .... at the end of this all I told him how I felt by how he treats the female workers in there ... he put his hand up to my face and called me a monster after I tried to tell him that these women know what there doing leave them to do thete job and do yours and look after your customers focus on one thing at a time 20 mins in there.... I realized he didn't like me putting him in his place he was mad at me i could tell but he held back I know ... cause I'm a woman that just told him ... all I was doing was defending those awesome hard working women in there I'm writing this not to discurge you from going but if you see him bulling his employees he should be told there's enough of you hard working as the next and we should all.be treated with respect bottom line ... WATCH HIM VERY...

Probably some of the best value you'll get for your money for the meat-lovers out there. I stop here regularly and often get the Halifax beef wrap supersized, though I've tried most of the other options as well. They do not skimp on meat and I find a donair runs me around $10 and is a full meal in and of itself, very easy to eat on the go and incredibly tasty and filling. One of the only negatives is not really a negative at all, but rather I feel like the owner's always giving a full 100% with his customer service when I'd be fine with casual service. That passion is very much apparent in the food quality though, which is what really matters. The Halifax wrap is great if you love a bit of sweet and a bit of spice, though for anyone who isn't a fan of spice I'd recommend sticking with mild, as the spice is actually properly spicy. If you're not interested in a wrap, they offer rice plates for slightly more, and these are quite good as well though I'd say wraps are their specialty. Never had a bad wrap or dish here, and the service is often very fast (5 minutes), except maybe during peak hours on busy days (10-15 minutes), and is always served fresh. This is my favorite donair place since I came to British Columbia. Beef and chicken are extremely flavorful as well as their house sweet hot sauce. I usually order the Lebanese platter with extra taboule. Portions are more than enough, I get really full eating even with the salad on its own with beef I'm on heavier scale with a bigger appetite. I see comments in this review where people are complaining about the portions. I definitely feel the portions are huge and has not changed since three years ago.

I am a regular who comes quite often. The owner is extremely welcoming, and kind. I was going through some personal things in my life and he was there to listen to me.

I have not found any other donair places as delicious made with quality and love as this location. You can tell that the owner takes pride in his ingredients and service. The staff that work there, they are absolutely gracious people.

I'm so happy to have a found a regular donair joint that I can go to regularly and feel welcomed. I even had my co-workers join the wagon, they love the food here. Five star is not enough to...
