We had used the drive through and to start off we sat there for a solid five minutes with no one acknowledging us, which was only slightly frustrating. Then after about 10 minutes of waiting we had someone take our order and she was extremely rude and unkind. I have worked in fast food and the customer service industry for four years and I can understand when someone has a bad day. However, I have never taken it out on a customer or service worker before. If you are going to let bad days impact your work then you shouldn’t be working customer service. Then when she repeated back the order to us she didn’t list off everything, otherwise I would’ve said something from the beginning. She didn’t tell us that we can’t substitute a different side in place of the fries. I was still very polite and attempting to give her the benefit of the doubt. But when we noticed the extra fries after driving away we had to go back inside. She had said that we had to be specific for next time and that it was my fault for not knowing. I don’t work there, it’s her job to be specific about what comes in the box especially when reading back the order to us. She was also showing attitude towards me and being rude. Then we noticed we got no utensils for our poutine and macaroni so my friend had to go back inside again. However, she was super kind to him? Her name is Jaspreet. Again, I can understand making the mistake in the order as miscommunication can occur. But the attitude and rudeness from the get go was uncalled for. Either you cannot pre-order without physically walking into the restaurant to PROVE you have the coupon you are saying you do or there is a 30 minute wait for chicken but tonight was the ultimate disrespect Ive ever dealt with. The owner/managers behavior and customer service was atrocious! He didn't acknowledge my existence when I walked into the store but quickly assisted another customer as she walked in. When I told him I was also waiting on my order he yelled to me that the previous customer was there long before me and that my order was being packed. I challenged him and told him his comment was extremely rude because I was simply telling him I was waiting as this was our first interaction since I had entered the restaurant and I didn't realize he knew I had already ordered. He continued to defend his actions so I had to stop and collect my food and leave because engaging with him any further wouldn't help as he couldn't understand how his statement was considered rude. Scamming on the quantity: I ordered a large popcorn chicken for my family. As always, it’s supposed to be in the larger round packaging. As the option is only small in the small paper sleeve or large in the larger round bucket type packaging. I was charged for a large and received less than half the expected amount in a small box packaging for the toonie-Tuesday meal. Once I saw this, I went into the store from the drive thru to ask why. As I paid almost $50 for one combo, one sandwich, 5 wings and a popcorn chicken which was shocking enough. When I asked the girl why it’s not the usual, she responded packaging had changed, implying corporate changed it. I showed her online it advertises the usual expected quantity in the round packaging.
