Since I did not sample a large variety of menu I feel I cannot give a 5/5. What I did try is a 5/5!! I had samosa - has a wee bit of spice and full flavor but is not overpowering. The butter garlic naan is very soft and full of flavour. Perfect for scooping the very flavourful slightly more spicy butter chicken! It had more bite for me and I was happy to have the recommended yogurt drink (I did not catch the name of it)!! The butter chicken was not overpowering for me, o still enjoyed it immensely- I just knew I would need some pepto after! The plain naan was a bit chewier and definitely needed to be eaten with the butter chicken as was not enjoyable on its own so much (you have to like garlic though). There was only two of us and we did not finish the Butter Chicken so the servings are plentiful! Service was just enough. No hovering! The chef came out to ensure the chicken was not too spicy and my partner and him engaged in conversation for a moment or two as he too is a chef. There is a water bottle at the table for two, just need to ensure there are glasses for the water to be shared. We did get another water but then was charged for the single water - which is completely reasonable as it a bottled water. The server did encourage us to try a yogurt drink and this turned out to be a great recommendation to help cleanse and cool the palate. I highly recommend the restaurant - go with a group of people so a large number of dishes can be ordered...
Read moreI don’t usually write negative reviews, especially about local businesses—but this is something I can’t ignore. I purchased chicken biryani from this place two days ago. Both my 3-year-old daughter and I ate it, and within two hours we started vomiting. It was alarming enough that I reported it to the health unit.
The response from them was concerning—they mentioned it could be due to improper flash freezing practices, which often cause symptoms like ours to appear quickly. What’s even more troubling is that when I told a friend about what happened, she immediately guessed the place, saying she had a similar bad experience in the past. That tells me this isn’t an isolated incident.
Food safety should never be compromised—especially when children are involved. It’s incredibly disappointing and certainly not worth the risk or the money. I hope the business takes this seriously and improves their food handling practices. I’m sharing this in the hope that it helps others make an...
Read moreI had an amazing experience at Exotic Indian! The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we felt comfortable throughout our visit. The customer service was excellent, and they went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect.
We ordered the Paneer Dosa with sambar and chutney – honestly, the chutney was the best we’ve had anywhere in Canada, full of authentic flavor and freshness. The dosa was perfectly crisp, and the sambar was rich and delicious.
From the Indo-Chinese menu, we tried the Hakka Noodles, and they were absolutely mouth-watering – perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and bursting with flavor.
Overall, the food was fresh, flavorful, and authentic, and the whole dining experience left us more than satisfied. Definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for great Indian and Indo-Chinese food with...
