食字路口 SHI ZI LU KOU NOODLE — Restaurant in Toronto

Every aspect of the meal is good except that the fired noodles is a bit on the greasy side. We ordered two dishes, one is their signature dish with cow broth and wide noodles and one is fried noodles with intestines.

Both dishes are delicious. The fired noodles is in particular has a strong aroma and taste very good.

The service is excellent, as nowadays it is really rare for a Chinese restaurant waiter would be polite enough not to use index fingers to point directions. And be polite and smile no matter how much you have ordered.

The only comment I would give to the owner is, they should never use a discount in exchange for a five star google review.

Consider their food is really delicious, it is no point to do these dishonorable tricks to get more positive reviews. Honestly, when I saw the ads on the table I had a perception that “O no, the restaurant is doing dirty tricks to get high reviews”. If not because my wife was starving, I would just pick another restaurant...

Decided to try this place on a whim. Overall it was average. I don’t know if it’s from reading the reviews they got but I didn’t find the noodles bland. In fact I found it pretty salty (and very oily). The noodles and beef were a really nice texture which I enjoyed.

The restaurant itself was clean. The service is good. They do their job and are polite.

Price wise - we definitely didn’t feel like we were being over charged. It was reasonably priced. They do charge 10% for tip, but that didn’t really bother us.

The service was horrible. The waitress was quite rude to me. She was inpatient, harsh tone toward me. She sounded like I owe her money or something. I was the only customer at that time, and when I was still eating the noodle, she started cleaning the floor. It is so disgraceful. The meat in noodle was dry and stringy.
