21 West at The Old Mill — Restaurant in Toronto

I can tell that the management is terrible by how stressed and overwhelmed the servers are.

Service was not good. Servers and bussers were impatient, rude, brisk, not attentive. Our menus were not picked up, dirty plates not picked up, they forgot to bring things after multiple requests, and overall looked like they were on fire.

As a former service industry worker - I recognize the toxic envirnoment that spills over to the guests.

The food is mediocre - it's not bad but nothing to write home about, very limited patio selection.

The patio is beautiful! Old Mill is a gem and the ONLY reason this place has customers is the beautiful surroundings, otherwise they'd go out of business a long time ago.

You don't have to go to the patio - just bring a snack and sit by the beautiful...

The Old Mill is an iconic Toronto destination and restaurant experience. 21 West seems to be the brunch service that runs primarily on the patio and some of the dining room during the summer. We had a good time at 21 West; it wasn't exceptional or extraordinary, it simply met our expectations. The ambiance and atmosphere you get while eating on the patio of the Old Mill is spectacular - it feels like you're sort of back in time. Booked anniversary dinner and had 20 month old grand daughter with us to celebrate. Service was below sub par compared to what others have posted ! We were on patio as we were married at the old mill over 20 years ago. Reservations were for 645 pm. We did not leave restaurant until 945 pm based on slow service, and then terrible service on desert menu. Had to ask several times for ice for drinks, overall not pleased at all.
