Worst a&w ever in regard to customer service.
On Wednesday 26th approx. 12:30am I placed an Uber order for the beyond meat burger.
Toppings I asked to remove: Mayo and Onion.
Choice of toppings to remove on Uber: Lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, ketchup, mustard and mayo.
There was no mustard on the burger, I went in to get mustard and check if I ordered incorrectly.
There were 2 Employees; A female and male, female seemed to be manager or supervisor.
The male employee proceeded to get me mustard and explained that there is no mustard on that burger it is actually the “Uncle Sauce” which is Mustard and Mayo combined. He absolutely did the right thing in removing the uncle sauce considering I asked no mayo.
I was under the impression that there was no uncle sauce considering the choice of topping to remove on Uber and the fact that I have been ordering beyond burger since it was released. RITUALLY!
He became argumentative of what it is in the burger and that it is the uncle sauce and always has been. He turned to the other employee and spoke in another language and then she began to join in the combative way of handling the situation and telling me next time do this next time do that (when ordering on Uber)
I tried to explain to her that the option on the app says nothing of uncle sauce for beyond burger. I even asked if she has seen how it shows up on Uber, she stated yes and then again told me what to do next time.
I was feeling frustrated at this point and that the way the situation was being handled would only escalate since it was clear neither of these people understand the concept of customer care and basic manners and I presume expectations of head office of handling situations like these.
I went back to check my phone of what a&w website/app states. There is also no mention of uncle sauce.
I called to let them know of my findings and it was the male whom answered. Again when I shared information that was directly from A&W site he aggressively said”come inside and I’ll show you the ingredients“ And then abruptly stated “that’s a head office issue call them and tell them”
This was when I asked for his name for when I contact head office, he told me to wait and spoke in another language to the other employee and then told me again contact tell head office.
I repeated myself and this time asked for both the employees names. He spoke again in another language to the fellow employee muted the phone and hung up on me.
I’m utterly disgusted with how both of these people handled the situation and the thought that A&W doesn’t monitor these sorts of things, which has me feeling frustrated with the company. The way I was treated was uncalled for, unkind and that says things about them not me.
I refuse to be treated like garbage and not seek justice doesn’t matter how big or small the situation is, if it’s connected to big companies I will advocate for myself and in turn others that too will be treated in the same manner.
Again this has nothing to do with the mustard not being on the burger or the mix up with mustard and uncle sauce. It was the combative behaviours and terrible customer service that had me needing...

She asked if i wanted a small or reg drink . I said regular..Thought it automatically came with regular size but didn't really think bout it any further . And my aunt ordered her meal and she paid for us together . ORDER came and no fries and small drink . Said politely I asked for combo and that comes with fries .with such attitude the lady replied YOU didn't ask for combo . I said I did . I swear . She argued with me and I waited for her to make it right and she didn't . She rolled eyes and gave me dirty look and wouldn't give me fries . Or reg size drink . She was so unbelievably rude and her fault but she refused to fix it . I Will NEVER VISIT THIS LOCATION AGAIN . MAYBE NONE OF A&W EITHER . I work in customer service industry too and even if you don't like customer you make it right. And it wasn't even like I wasn't rude or disrespectful at all . Read moreI will start by saying A and W have some of the best hasbrowns ever. They are potatoes that remind me of fishsticks (this is not one of those potato that tastes like fish), I had as an adolescent. It is the more reliable for quality (this location I above average and I have visited several times.
My qualms with the service are the staff took months to recognize me and know my order without me saying. And then, when you stop for a few weeks, it's like you are a ghost. Service is an art at an elite level, and I feel that the staff are taking their jobs personally or just don't have the energy to keep up the original effort of making every visit special. My order had been 2 hash browns, sausage and egger, English muffin, and a small OJ. This issue of service isn't strictly A and W. It runs rampant, so don't take thus personal. What I am saying is I almost prefer to use the kiosk as, robots would give better personalities and have (look at the touring test or watch Deus Ex Machina).
