Los Cantaritos Dufferin — Restaurant in Toronto

We went to celebrate a birthday (was the worst idea). The first disappointment we experienced was that we ordered arrachera and sopes, but they told us they couldn't have them because they didn’t have meet and the flour, so they basically left us with three of the seven available options. Then, when we were finally ordering, the food I ordered had a HAIR in it, meaning the food was cooked with it in it. When I mentioned the hair to one of the people who came (because there were two of them), he told me he couldn't see it, but he was removing with a fork all the food, when I had clearly already shown it and the cook saw it. He sounded incredulous. I mean, I can't look for it again when he'd already removed it. Zero professionalism. We didn't receive an apology from either of these people, much less any courtesy for such an unpleasant experience. I don't recommend it and I wouldn't return even if I won the raffle for a meal they supposedly make...

:edit: the atmosphere has improved, but I have to dock a star because the menu has gone up 40% in price in one year, with smaller and cheaper ingredients. The huarache is like half the size and more cracker-like now. We're becoming quite disppointed in places. Fortunately the tacos are still killer.

This is my favorite Mexican in Toronto, but there has been about zero thought put into this space. It needs to be less bright (take out the bright lights shooting at the bare wall), maybe some napkins / salsas on the tables for presentation, something on the TVs other than the default screensavers, and some kind of second door or curtain at the entrance to kill the draft. Pésimo Servicio, Pésima organizacion. Visité ese lugar por primera vez el servicio del chico que me atendio muy bueno pero me hizo daño la comida.

Sin embargo. Decidi darle una segunda oportunidad Celebrando un cumpleaños con 16 personas. Porque el lugar me parecio chevere. Y accesible

El servicio de la mesera al inicio fue buena muy amable pero despues: Se nos informo que No tenian casi nada de lo que se pidio para comer. 🙄🙄 No hay cerveza en jarra y esta en el menu.

Las bebidas llegaron con 20-30 min de restraso. ( El restaurante estaba casi vacio)

15 de los guest comieron y dejaron esperando a uno de ellos por casi 1 hr mas.

Pedimos cuentas separadas desde un inicio y a la hora de pagar, no sabian lo que cobraban.

A la hora de cobrarnos. A dos de ellos les estaban cargando casi 80 dls de mas.

Pidieron un cantarito de 20 lts y jamas lo sirvieron.

Hubo negligencia, por parte de la mesera al confundir una quesadilla de tinga con la de Pastor. y se la dieron a una persona que NO come puerco por cuestiones religiosas. ( ¿Si saben lo que implica eso?)

Estoy de acuerdo con el cargo de Gratuity del 18% A partir de 6 personas pero… cuando pague mi cuenta. Vaya sorpresa, mi ultima bebida no estaba en su sistema y me la cobraron aparte y esta bien.

Pague el primer bill y pague mi 18% correspondiente a mi cuenta total pero cuando me cobraron la bebida final tambien me querian cobrar otro 18%; entiendo que talvez no sea mucho x el costo de la bebida pero no era problema mio si ellos no la habian agregado o querido agregar a un unico bill. Me cobraron un cantarito de 16 dls me lo cobraron en 32 dls no supe ni porqué.

En general el servicio dejó muchisimo que desear. Estoy 100% seguro que los 16 que asistimos no regresariamos nuevamente. ( quiza no signifiquemos un % considerable de sus clientes. Pero creo que los restaurantes de deben a nosotros.
