No words. But then a review is pointless so I’ll try my best: this is the best, most authentic, and most fun Mexican restaurant in Toronto and probably in all of Canada. Beautiful big steak tacos, on double layered fresh corn tortillas, chopped onions, and a whole SUITE of toppings brought to your table. 3 different sauces, chopped pineapple, fresh guacamole, more lime wedges than anyone would need, and a 10/10 taco. For $5 a taco. This is simply a restaurant that cares more about quality and experience, and part of customer experience is value. The staff are all engaged, caring, diligent, working together. The quesadillas on flour tortilla are even bigger than the tacos and just beautiful. Kudos to the owner/manager and you should know that the staff that was working 7-8pm on Sunday July 21 were STELLAR and superb. One of my favorite things to do at a restaurant is just watch. And it’s very very rare to see a team of staff working together, smiling, laughing, working their tails off, getting every little detail right, all while it’s jam packed, hot outside, lineup waiting to get in, screaming babies, and the team and the cooks are just delivering incredible food and service. Also, the tunes you guys were playing absolutely dope. Can’t wait to be back and tip big. Thank you.

I very much enjoyed my visit. As soon as I entered, the rich Mexican aromas and a live duo playing vibrant tunes welcomed me. The seating felt tight, but the buzz and warm vibe made it easy to overlook. Right away, I fell for their complimentary platter of scratch-made salsas. We’re talking lime wedges, grilled onions and jalapeños, habanero salsa, pineapple chunks, and more. The habanero-pineapple combo packed a sweet and spicy punch that woke up my taste buds. Then came the tacos. Each one sat on two sturdy corn tortillas, piled high with fresh onion and cilantro. The Pastor Taco was my favourite—thick, juicy pork slices seasoned perfectly, especially when I added that fiery habanero salsa. The Sirloin Taco had generous chunks of beef, though it leaned a bit tougher in texture. Still, the flavours were on point, and the salsas brought everything together. For a sweet finish, the Horchata was a real charmer: smooth, sweet rice flavour with just a kiss of cinnamon. Service was just as lively as the atmosphere. The staff was attentive, upbeat, and genuinely seemed happy to have us there. Overall, Taqueria el Pastorcito delivers mouthwatering Mexican fare and a fun, festive experience. I’d gladly come back for another round of those stellar tacos, salsas, and Horchata.

We stumbled upon what’s now easily our new favourite Mexican spot - and after two visits (one dine-in, one takeout), we’re fully hooked. The place feels authentic from the jump, especially with a room full of Latin American patrons, which is always a good sign. The menu is simple and straightforward, and the prices are incredibly affordable. On our first visit, we ordered the chicken and pork tacos, each piled high with juicy meat, fresh cilantro, and diced onions. You could taste the quality and freshness in every bite. Our server brought over a selection of house-made sauces - plus samples of their hibiscus water and horchata, which were both refreshing and delicious. For our takeout order, we stuck with the chicken tacos and added chicken quesadillas into the mix. The quesadillas were essentially the tacos with melted cheese - comforting, gooey, and packed with flavour. I asked for just two of their house sauces this time: the pineapple and avocado. Trust me, they’re a must. The staff are so warm and welcoming, and the whole experience - from food to service - has us planning our next visit already.

I came here with my family to have some food today, the experience was pretty bad, prices aren’t the most affordable and even if they were worth a dime we should get the respect that we deserve as customers, our first server (a guy) was nice and took our order efficiently (the table was dirty we had to clean it with a napkin) but then the other server (a Latin girl wearing a braid) was extremely rude, when she dropped our plates she almost threw the first plate to the table, the second one (plate that was for my mother) she didn’t even put it on the table. She kept it in her hand waiting for us to grab it from her. It was extremely uncomfortable considering that she had a horrible attitude as kept side eyeing us the whole time we were sitting there, we finally asked her for the bill and she seemed to be very bothered, (she even asked if we wanted separate bills so there’s no way she didn’t hear us) she walked away and she stood right in front on her phone and didn’t bring the bill we were waitng at least another 5-10 min until we finally asked the guy who took our order to give us the bill and he brought it right away.

In terms of the food I just found it disappointing, the “Al pastor” needed salt and didn’t taste like back home honestly, not a lot of spices coming through not the worst one I’ve tried but I was doing there to eat those so it was sad. 5/10 The “Lengua tacos” were okay not bad, not so great. 6/10 The chorizo was the most disappointing it just tasted a lot like cumin and not like actual chorizo. 0/10 The horchata was good though. They also gave us 5 different salsas and a good amount of lime wedges that was actually pretty nice! Hehe (I love limes) Overall, I would not recommend specially because of the customer...

We really enjoyed the food here although it all tastes a bit the same and the bright fluorescent lighting almost requires sunglasses and really stands out on a hip Street like bloor west. Sort of like a prison ambience, making sure they can keep an eye on you? I also really like the fact they don't serve alcohol here and it's really just all about the food so you don't blow your whole Budget on $20 cocktails. You can really eat a lot of food and get out of there for $30 a person all in. I do have questions though and that is what are we supposed to do with the 8 or so different sauces in rather large bowls that we could never possibly consume in their entirety. I don't see how they could afford to serve this amount of sauce and then throw it out based on the prices we were paying and since we weren't provided any cutlery we were a little confused about whether the sauces were going to go back into a large container to be reused which I would be okay with if we knew that was the case but doesn't seem likely so I'm wondering what the deal is with all those sauces and why we were not served any cutlery whatsoever to consume the remainders of the taco ingredients that spill from the shells. Also since I was trying to use my Spanish to order we ended up with a big bowl of grilled onions and jalapenos which were cut into such large chunks they did not seem like they were to go into the tacos so does anyone know what that is all about. I believe they call them Chiles Toreados based on...

I got a two bad experience in this place that’s why write this review. The first time I went with my friends to eat in site and they’re forgot to do my order, they’re only served me the water and I was waiting around 45 minutes and my food never arrived I had to ask the server and they’re never answer, all my friends have already finished them food and my food never arrived I had to ask the server for cancel my order and when the bill arrived they charged me the food and my food finally arrived when we were ready to leave the place.

The second time I went to made a order for to go, I was waiting for an hour and I had to ask the server for my food and they just told me that I have to wait a little time that become another 15 minutes, many people after me got them order before my order got ready, and when my order finally was ready they’re realized that they’re made a wrong order and they’re added more items to my order at this point I was really hungry, frustrated, and mad, but I told to the server that I was able to pay for the extra items and they won’t, they said that it wasn’t necessary and they took the order back to the kitchen to try to fixed it and they spend 10 more minutes, I just wanted to leave the place I was really mad and I tried to be very polite cause I was really frustrated for another bad experience at the same place, the food it really good but the service is horrible...
