I can’t give a 2.5/5 stars so I chose 3. A lot of the reviews I see don’t accurately represent the restaurant. A lot of people are happy to see a Greek restaurant open in the beaches myself included. To start the people behind the restaurant are very nice and they trying to cater to a greek food lovers. from the menu choice and the drink selection (IVI AND THE green cola from Greece) we assumed the owners are Greek but they are not, which surprised us considering the Greek writing on the menu and the drinks they had. We ordered gyros with their salad. The photos online and the actual result don’t look alike at all. The gyro was wrapped more like a middle eastern shawarma which was our first red flag. Once we opened the wrap we noticed it was extremely greasy, probably the greasiest “gyro” I have ever had. The salad was mediocre as well nothing special. Grease was dripping all over, a literal pool. The flavours were ok, not Greek outside of the tzatziki and onion. Which is the main thing. It feels more like a “canadianized” greek restaurant like mr greek than anything. I am going to give this place another chance, especially because the menu is extensive, staff was nice and I could have came on an off day by chance. But from my view. It’s not fully authentic greek street food like the places on...

My wife and I ate at Acropolis Gyro Corner today, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. While eating, my wife found a bug in her food. When we showed it to the cook, he brushed it off arrogantly, saying he didn’t know where it came from. That response felt careless and unprofessional and as far as i remember he was the who was making everything, He clearly didn’t want to accept any fault, which felt careless and unprofessional.

Not long after, my wife began feeling sick with stomach pain and vomiting, which raises serious concerns about the hygiene and food safety here.

The only positive part of the visit was the front-of-house staff member. She was kind, sincerely apologized, and refunded our meals. Her professionalism stood out, but unfortunately, it couldn’t make up for the hygiene issues and the dismissive attitude from the kitchen.

I don’t usually leave reviews like this, but people deserve to know. While the service at the front was excellent, the lack of cleanliness and accountability in the kitchen is unacceptable. For the sake of health and safety, I strongly caution others before...

As a Greek person, I have to say—this is not Greek food. I can already hear my mom saying, “You paaaid for this?!” (Greek accent)

Let me give you some reasons Greek fries do not have vinegar on them. The tzatziki was so watery, I found myself wondering if it was even yogurt? What the hell did I eat? The wrap was styled more like a kebab rather than an authentic Greek style pita wrap. On top of that the pita was sooo soft which is not a classic Greek pita that’s usually a little tougher. Because the way it was wrapped it had barely any ingredients and meat inside. It was so thin. What’s with all the grease and oil? Oh god.

I could go on, but you get the idea. The flavors were bland, lacking the vibrancy and authenticity you’d expect from true Greek cuisine and gyros.

To put it plainly, this doesn’t taste like Greek food at all. Please, please… PLEASE open up a store with your own cultures authentic food. It would probably taste way better. You clearly don’t know what Greek food tastes like and it’s kinda insulting. People in the reviews must have never tried actual real Greek food to think this is a...

I am not very impressed. After seeing the restaurant open for quite some time, I decided to go — but with much hesitation. I am Greek and this is not Greek food. The chicken was standard so no complaints but equally not impressed. But the rice? It was very mushy with no taste whatsoever and came with carrots/corn? The one potato was cold. The salad came with a honey mustard smelling sauce, not Greek (I did not taste it). Two olives for the entire salad (one green and one black). The customer service was professional but the overall atmosphere is relatively inexpensive and doesn’t suggest Greek. If you’re looking for a night in with Greek food in the beach/upper beach, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Follow @bredgyeats for more food photos! Lamb Souvlaki Dinner - The Saturday special features two skillfully grilled lamb skewers that showcase a smoky, charred skewer of my favourite protein. The rice is cooked to individual grain perfection with a slightly aromatic backdrop to highlight the lamb even more. The salad medley was a refreshing mix of lettuce, cucumber, tomato and bell peppers, seasoned with a generous sprinkle of feta and oregano for a characteristic Greek taste. The pita was also delicious, with a charred exterior and a chewy, spongy texture.
