Aloette Burger and Salad combo , burger was great, enjoyed the griddled emmental cheese which was a nice surprise. Salad with the puffed rice and avocado was very refreshing. I like the burger and salad combo since its a little lighter for lunch during the workday. The salads here are actually good, some of the other options in the area don't have a salad combo as an option. I would probably rank this as the best takeout burger spot in the area due to combo options for great salads and unique toppings like crispy cheddar, pickled onions, griddled elemntal cheese. (There are the other usual suspects like A&W, Burgers Priest, Harveys etc nearby). This is definitely a takeout only spot as there is essentially no seating.
I ordered online and the food was ready very quickly, was waiting for me when I got there. I can walk from my office so its very convenient. It had the shortest line today compared to other burger joints when I walked by. I don't know if it is because the service is much faster than other takeout places in the area or its less popular than other spots. Definitely a bonus if you like to do things quickly on your lunch break.
I would not consider it cheap but its a bargain considering all the competition in the area charges about the same price now and I consider this place higher quality. This is the takeout restaurant created by the fine dining restaurant recommended in the Micheline guide so its kind of expected to be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have never ever left a review for anything. But my burger was so disappointing here that I had to leave a review. Look how sad that burger looks. I asked for no mayo or Go sauce. It came with it. I asked for ketchup instead. There was no ketchup. I paid 50 cents for ketchup for my fries, which I ended up using on my burger. Yes, they charge for ketchup packets. The burger was supposed to come with pickles and onions but it did not have any. The lettuce was sad. The bun was not good. The beef patties were over cooked. I would give zero stars if possible. One strike against me is that I held the cheese, but cheese would not save this burger. Overall, a very disappointing meal. Even the fries were average at best. There are far better options in the area. The location is also very strange (basically located in the vestibule for a Dollarama). I wanted to come back to try the chicken sandwich, but after this, I will not return. The brand is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSaw a long line from my balcony and decided to check what it was for. Turns out Aloette go opened a new outlet at Yonge and Eglinton today (24th August 2023) and they were giving out a free burger / sandwich and a side. I got the Aloette burger and fries. The emmental cheese and pickled onions in the burger were a great combination with the perfectly cooked beef patty. And the crinkle fries - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside like it should be. Definitely recommend! Next on my list to try is definitely the black truffle burger which other people said is really good too. Also note, this is a take out only place and also parking outside is fairly limited. Though there are a few public parking options available close by.
PS: forgive the picture, it does...
