I used to regularly visit this establishment with my friends and while the food is great the customer service is really lacking and leaves much to be desired. Example: Let's say you are the restaurant owner and you offer delivery services via UberEats or SkipTheDishes however for whatever reason you forgot to include ANY drink options on the delivery menu for purchase despite having two fridges full of drinks available in store, so a customer who doesn't have access to cold refreshments in the hot summer months is either forced to go out and buy the drink separately or contact the courier/restaurant for purchase of drinks over the phone. However you are then told by the restaurant that they will no longer be allowing customers to purchase drinks and this is the last time they will be doing you a FAVOR! My friends you are in the business of providing customer service and you should not look for ways to make it harder on your customers but rather strive to provide the best possible service to set your self apart from the competition. At Banh Mi Boys clearly this is not the objective as inconveniencing customers and giving ultimatums are the more preferred approach of doing business and I have concluded that no matter how delicious their food tastes I will never ever order food from this place again since they believe in ultimatums instead of looking for solutions to make the customers happy. I don't care if you want to charge me $5 for drinks but to purposely refuse to sell refreshments when you are in the food industry and have easy access to such said refreshments is quite frankly absurd! Thank you for the delicious food Banh Mi Boys but I am really disappointed in your approach when it comes to customer service and I have accepted your ultimatum and won't be making anymore purchases or referring anymore friends to eat at...
Read moreI loved the food from Banh Mi Boys and was really excited when we got one in this area. I always get kimchi fries and a fried chicken bao (with no cilantro). The thing is... I've had some less than great experiences here. One time they accepted my ritual order, I waited around for a while, and when I finally asked what was going on they said they didn't have fries. That was kinda sad. Not as bad though, as the time I went with some friends. We got in about 15 minutes to close (my bad) and ordered a few baos and banh mis and kimchi fries. A few customers ordered after us. We waited for our order while the people after us all got theirs. When they gave us our order, it was about 1/3 of what we had ordered. Then when we asked like... where the rest of the stuff was, they told us that they couldn't make it because they had just put the frying baskets into the cleaning solution. The cashier asked us if we wanted a refund, which we did since we didn't have most of the food we bought. And then the chef grabbed the bag of the food they did make, and threw it into the garbage right in front of us. I was so shocked... We would have still taken the food they made and could have just done a partial refund. I don't think it had to be wasted. Anyways, they did give us a refund for everything but the pop we had already opened. My friend also put a $10 bill in the tip box that he really wanted to take back but didn't because we didn't want to be rude! We do still like Banh Mi Boys and go there sometimes, and I think the staff has probably changed since then. Wow this was a long review but yeah the food...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer of Banh Mi Boys for many years. In early December I ate at the Yonge and Eglinton location. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. About a third of the way through I bit into a small rock that broke into many small pieces and made me gag. The pieces I choked on for for several minutes. I understand that things happen but I did want to let the company know. I contacted them the day after and was sent an automated reply telling me that someone would be in contact. I waited a week and nothing. I sent them a follow up, sharing my disappointment in their customer care. No reply! I sent another saying that I would like a reply asap or I'd go through social media. I am not that type of person but it still had no affect as they ignored me again. I really thought about blowing it off as I do not like to cause a fuss but then I thought no, the public should know. We have such a bystander way in society and so I have spoken up. This company does not care if their food has rocks in it or anything else. They also do not care about their loyal customers. Very disappointed in Bahn Mi Boys and I suggest you find other choices for your Banh Mi...
