I just had Asian Gourmet for the first time two days ago, and was immediately downright blown away- the freshness, seasoning, overall cook, quality of ingredients (obviously not top, but above what comparable spots use), and portion sizes are all five-star. I've had a lot of mall Chinese spanning three continents in my 30+ years on earth, and I want to say, to the very best of my recollection, this might be the very best. It was so good I had to go back the next day, and plan to go again tomorrow. I foresee it becoming something of a problem tbh. It really is impressive how the two times I've been so far, everything on display was so plump and vibrant- clearly fresh. My only criticism is the rice was unspectacular, noodles nothing to write home about either (but better than the rice)- everything else was incredible. I'm generally not a General Tao chicken guy, but theirs is BY FAR the best I've had anywhere- the sauce is the perfect mix of sweet, spicy, and smokey. Black pepper beef is incredible here- the sauce doesn't overpower like in many places, allowing for the beef (which is perfectly tender) to shine. The chili shrimp are also just incredible- perfectly crispy, love their batter. The Asian bbq chicken is so succulent and expertly cooked. Everything is bomb- can't wait to try everything else over time. When I came here to discover "only" a 3.8, I was surprised, as I was certain I'd find a mid-high-4's score, but then reading the reviews, I see it's largely pertaining to the service and some other issues rather than the food- so that makes sense. Even though it's not that close to where I live, I will def be stopping by at least once a week...

Asian Gourmet located in the Lawrence Allen Centre. I normally attend the market at this mall but I decided to go to the food court as I have heard about the food and thought I would give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised how nice and cool the staff are and the portions are great too. I got the General Tso Chicken and chicken wings with rice and a side of sweet and sour sauce. The General Tso Chicken is crispy and good. The wings were good too. I was glad I made the effort to try the food. I will return again I suggest you give them a try too. The ladies that load your order are nice. There is a lot of parking but, the mall isn't one of my favorites but, it's about...

I visited your Chinese fast-food restaurant yesterday and unfortunately had a rather unpleasant experience. While enjoying my meal, I discovered a hair in my food, which was quite disgusting. I understand that these incidents can happen, but it was stomach turning, nonetheless and I lost my appetite. I hope you can address this hygiene concern to maintain the quality and cleanliness of your establishment or at least make hairnets mandatory. I have attached a photo of the hair in my food below and will no longer be returning to...

Decent portions. Veggies were the highlight being tasty and al dente, despite being add-ons. Pleased they had real Shanghai noodles (and not spaghetti as fakers do). Fried rice and beef noodles were not as flavourful as expected, the latter not survivable next day. Asian chicken recommended. Shrimp did not seem 100 deveined. Overall enjoyable. A bit pricey such as compared to others such as Urban Hakka, and for that reason lower review.
