Pizzaville — Restaurant in Toronto

Located at 700 Lawrence Ave at the mall. It's near Canadian Tire and you can only access from the outside. On this day the mall was busy. There isn't really a time that it isn't but it does have moments where the drive in is not so hectic and this day cars were backed up. Not a good start to order anything but, I really wanted pizza. I ordered in my car because I was not sure if I wanted to order so I had to wait for my order passing the time. To my scare, I kept checking if it was ready and I got this message 'thanks for picking up your order' and I was still in my car! So, I had to rush to the store thinking who picked up my order!!. When I got there I told them I was doing my pick up and thankfully the order was still there. I was told to pick up my drink in the cooler but, they had no Oregano for the side. I ordered a small Pepperoni Pizza and I was hoping it would be a knock out based on the reviews. When I opened the box it was a load of cheese which is fine but, I felt it was not cooked enough or it had to much cheese to cook well. I had a dipping sauce and I tried to use it to help but, it isn't my style of pizza. It was not good for me. I also just hated some uncooked pepperoni that were in it. The ones that were cooked you can see the curve in the pepperoni but the uncooked were flat and just raw. I was picking off those uncooked pieces. Anyway, cheers to those who do like it....

Very POOR delivery service. My mother in law (who’s first language is not English) was trying to pay with her debit card. She had tried to ask the delivery driver for help by asking him what the machine was requesting her to do. He then proceeded to yell “I don’t know! You’re supposed to do it! You do it!” disregarding her question and would not even glance at the machine. I was inside overhearing how loud he was. I come out and he totally disregards her and says “oh she’s younger, she’ll know better”, basically suggesting her to give the machine to me for help. At this point, the machine was asking her which tip option she’d like to choose. Literally seconds after having rude service provided, we decided that a tip was unnecessary. She paid and handed him the machine. He then had the audacity to get upset and say “oh, no tip?!”

This was the first and LAST time that we will be ordering delivery from this location. A tip or “gratuity” is optional for the service that was provided. This driver/server was rude, impatient and even yelled at her. After all that, he still felt “entitled” to receive a tip. Highly recommend walk-in or...

I want to be very clear — this review is not about Hassan. In fact, I’ve always come to this Pizzaville because of him. The way he makes the pizza is exceptional and his service has always been welcoming. I had even given a positive review before because of him, but I deleted it and I’m leaving this new review today to reflect my latest experience.

Unfortunately, today I was served by another staff member (not Hassan), and the experience was extremely disappointing. As a vegetarian, I simply asked if my slice was being cut with a veg cutter. First, he bluntly told me it was a meat cutter. When I politely asked again, he arrogantly replied in a very rude manner.

This behavior is unacceptable. Customers who care about dietary needs should be treated with respect, not dismissed. I didn’t want to make a scene, so I left quietly — but I was very unhappy with the way I was spoken to.

Respectful service is just as important as good pizza. I hope management takes note because one rude interaction can easily undo the positive reputation built by great staff...
