Subject: Unfair Treatment and Refusal of Replacement/Refund for Stale Food
Dear Restaurant Manager / Owner,
I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding the treatment I received during my recent visit to your establishment. Despite encountering an issue with the quality of the food I purchased, I was denied both a replacement and a refund, which I believe is unfair and unacceptable.
During my visit on Tuesday March 12, 2024, I ordered 2 rice meal combos (each having rice, paneer curry, cabbage, chicken varuval) rom your menu. Unfortunately, upon receiving my order and taking the first bite, it became apparent that the food was stale and not up to the standard I expected from your establishment.
Understanding that such occurrences can happen, I promptly brought this matter to the attention of your staff and requested for them to taste the food themselves to verify its quality. Despite my request, they refused to taste the food and insisted that they could not offer a replacement or refund.
I must emphasize that this response was both disappointing and inadequate. As a customer who has spent money at your establishment, I expected to be treated with respect and given appropriate solutions to rectify the situation. However, I was met with indifference and a refusal to acknowledge the problem.
I urge you to reconsider your policy in handling such situations and to train your staff to address customer concerns with empathy and fairness. It is essential for any reputable establishment to prioritize customer satisfaction and to take responsibility for the quality of the products they offer.
In light of this experience, I kindly request a refund for the stale food I purchased. Additionally, I hope that you will take measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

I do not live in the east end so my trips here are only for the lamprais when I crave for them. They come at $10 for vegetarian, $12 for chicken/mutton and $13 for seafood (shrimp/fish/squid/crab). Each of the price comes with 1 meat/seafood + 5 vegetable curries (6 vegetable curries for vegetarian), 1 fried mackerel fish, 1 omelette and a side of rasam and yogurt. Definitely the most value for money meal ever in the GTA as the overall portion would easily feed a person for 2 completely full meals.
The taste of your lamprais varies according to your choice of curries but overall, but my personal recommendations are mutton suka, pepper chicken, chicken varuval, mutton varuval, squid varuval, shrimp varuval, village fish curry and probably more that I’ve yet to try.
For the vegetables, spicy eggplant curry, channa, ladies finger coconut curry, cabbage stir fry and once again probably more that I’ve yet to try.
Overall, everything that this place sells is at an amazing price for the quality that you get. In fact, the lamprais is the most expensive in the menu but you’re getting a huge value for the buck.

I had worst experience the serving guys are so RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.. they didn't pack food properly i took 2 kotu roti ONE meal ... kotu roti one was propley closed and another box wasnt closed properly my entire food was in bag when I called Scarborough location they said it's not our problem u didn't handle ur food with care , i told him i travel by car not in ttc ..the person on call said he doesnt care what happens once food leaves.
