Disgusting service for a regular customer that has been waiting for over 20mins in front of you to be served but is ignored on purpose and others of their liking are served.

Called in 30mins ago for tiffin pick up and they said come in 30min. Show up 30mins later only to be blatantly ignored while standing in front of them for 20mins, despite telling them I’m here for pick up for tiffin, while others are being served their veggies for tiffin in front of me despite coming later. Yet, I’m purposely ignored for whatever reason. Absolutely disgusted at this behaviour, the girls are unprofessional and purposefully ignored me. Been a regular customer for years and I order in multiple times every week but appalled at this behaviour, I’m literally standing in front waiting to be asked which veggies for my tiffin yet others are being served. Shambolic customer service and no training given to the lazeez t-shirt wearing taller girl and the other girl, despite telling her I’m standing for my tiffin. Ive been a regular customer for years not going to be one anymore.

Worst experience ever at Chahal Dhaba in Scarborough! I honestly don’t understand how this place has such good ratings, that’s the only reason I decided to try it. The customer service was terrible; the girl at the counter didn’t even seem interested in taking our order and kept asking someone else to do it because she wasn’t “dressed well,” which was such a lame excuse. Eventually, she had to take the order herself since no one else came. We then waited over 30 minutes for our food, even though the place wasn’t busy. Not a single table was clean, I had to wipe the table and chairs myself just to sit down. The food was disappointing, and the sweet served with the thali was stale. The only positive thing is that they’re open late, but honestly, you’re better off grabbing McDonald’s or just drinking water instead of risking food poisoning here. I usually don’t post negative reviews because I don’t want to hurt someone’s business, but this experience was so bad that I had to share it. Chahal Dhaba Indian Cuisine in Scarborough is a gem for authentic Punjabi flavors! From the moment we sat down, the experience was wonderful. We tried several dishes, including chicken tikka, Amritsari kulcha, kadi pakora, and chicken lababdar, each of which exceeded our expectations. The flavors were rich and perfectly spiced, capturing the essence of Punjabi cuisine.

One of the highlights was the butter tawa roti—it was so soft, buttery, and delicious that we ended up overeating because we simply couldn’t resist. It paired beautifully with every dish, especially the chicken lababdar, which was creamy and flavorful.

Our server, Reena, was exceptional. She was so calm and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Her helpful suggestions made our experience even better, and her friendly approach added a personal touch to our visit.
