Black Dog Cafe — Restaurant in Toronto

EDIT: to owner thank you for your prompt reply! The staff there today did not seem to be aware that you could do a mocha. I specifically asked her for one and she told me they do not offer them.I was really jonesin for one so I was disappointed! Since I know you guys can do it, I'll give you guys another shot one day. Cheers original review: just some constructive feedback. Nice service but I think this cafe should have more beverage options... On a few occasions Ive been disappointed because they don't carry what I consider to be staple cafe ingredients: different milk options- they just have 2%. They also don't have mochas...or raw sugar...or sleeves to give you with your piping hot beverage. With a few adjustments this could be my go to place but they are currently falling a bit...

I walked in, the place didn't look very fancy, thought maybe my cappuccino was going to end up being an Americcino, as so many other places have disappointed me, but no, not Black Dog, excellent cappuccino, nothing fancy, but top quality cappuccino for a bargain price, as good as Hot Black, Pilot, Reunion Island.

If you like good quality cappuccino, you won't find a better bargain in the GTA area, and you won't find really any better quality, the only place I've found that just edges out every other cappuccino in the whole GTA is Terminal 3 on Lakeshore, but even Black Dog here was very close to it.

Edit: They finally fixed the door, yaaay! The empanadas are very nice. Especially the mushroom and ricotta one. Staff are friendly. It's a lovely cafe.

I wonder, what's it gonna take for them to fix their door?? Small cafe with 3, maybe 4 tables and a long high bench along the window looking out onto the street. The front door opens regularly given customers come and go, but the door closing mechanism is broken so the door doesn't close, meaning if you're sitting on the high bench its ridiculously cold there. Staff apologize but nobody seems interested in fixing it. I suggest the staff sit by the door for 30mins some time to feel what it's like. Consistent sub zero temperatures for a month straight and It's been like that...
