the customer service here is terrible, not even the lack of helping, but the way the staff interact with you needs to be addressed.
i went in at 4:30pm on Sunday August 3rd and there was a white older lady witg white hair. extremely rude. i told her i had a paper coupon for August and she immediately snapped at me saying there are no coupons. this made me shut down and i went silent. she then started shouting at me because she couldn’t see the codes i wrote very clearly on the tags. i told her twice i was paying with visa, and she pretended like she didn’t hear me just so she could have some leverage to react on. typical boomer behaviour. they’re always looking to ruin the younger generations day. i said VISA a third time sternly and she started to laugh. i asked her what was so funny and she’s like YOU TELL ME. i took my receipt and walked away as she started bad mouthing me while i was 2 ft away to the next customer.
not only is this so unprofessional, but it’s also a toxic environment that i won’t be shopping at anymore.
imagine the business this store could get if they just had respectful employees. i was not rude, i was incredibly patient while she changed the receipt roll, i wrote all my codes on the bags with bread ties, and my printing...
Read moreI’ve been shopping at this bulk barn location for almost a year and a half now. Every Wednesday I take my son to his martial arts and then I stop by to buy some goods from the store. Last night I spent $25-30 as well. The staff is always friendly and I never had any issues. Well this morning I parked outside bulk barn to drop my son at martial arts and this man comes out of the store telling me that I can’t park there and that is only for customers. I understand the frustration that they might feel when they think that everyone is using their space to park and go somewhere else. But you can’t just barge onto people telling them what to do because you don’t know if that person is a customer already or a potential one. I went back to the store and I said that I’m a regular customer and that he didn’t know if I was coming into the store or coming back to the store to buy something. His response was that he didn’t care. And for that reason I’m writing this review. That man was rude and I’m not sure if he’s a manager of some sort but if he is, he needs to go through some training. His behaviour was...
Read moreThis is the friendliest and most customer focused Bulk Barn store I've ever shopped at. If you're looking for a bulk food place that's clean and organized and feels like a small town general store, this is it!
The cashier, Lynda, is very friendly and helpful, showing a genuine interest in all customers. She remembers customers, shows an interest in their lives, and makes great suggestions. It was the first time I met her on my visit last week, and I felt like I had met a friend.
I learned that Lynda has been with Bulk Barn at that location for over 35 years. Carl has also been there a long time, and they work well as a team.
If management reads this review, they should realize that if Lynda leaves, they won't be able to replace her, and it'll likely affect their business at that location. This also applies to Carl, who is a fantastic promoter of the business and its products. This is a great example of why retailers should hire more seniors.
Carl does an excellent job at keeping the place...
