I came for the highly-rated pistachio latte. When I was paying, I remember I haven't mention the size so I asked the barista if the price was for a small cup to double-check. I asked like "May I know if this is the price for a 12oz cup?" He got really worked up and said the price included tax. "All products include 13% tax, you got it?"
I said I knew, I just wasn't sure if the price was for 12 ounces or 16 ounces. (I'm not good at math...) Maybe he feels I am too stupid to asked that questionā¦. But it would be highly appreciated if he answer āYes, it is the price of 12oz.ā without any bias.
Then he read the menu loudly to me, saying word by word how much the 12-ounce and 16-ounce sizes cost, as if I had never read the menu or the text before. š„¹š¦
While he was making the drink, he came over and told me that the jam he chose was high quality, not cheap stuff, and showed the jam bottle to me. It sounded like he was saying, "That's why the price is what it is. It's worth it, and you shouldn't think it's a cheap coffee!"
After finishing, he slammed the cup on the table and said, "Here you go!" I took the coffee and left immediately, saying, "Thank you." I usually say "Thank you and have a nice day," but all I wanted was to get out of there, even didnāt spend a sec to put the lid on my cup, i havenāt a nice day right there š
I was wondering what was wrong with ensuring the price. I wanna ask the size and price just because I have dinner with fds afterwards and I donāt wanna drink too much. I respect any pricing, which is why I paid for it. But I am so disappointed with the attitude. š„²
The only nice thing he did was lower the volume of the music when he greeted me and made my order (maybe just because my voice is too low).
Anyway, the taste is not bad, interior design is good. But latte art doesn't seem to be included for takeaways. (Or its gone when he slammed the cup?) Here is a photo of what I got before I tasted it.
I expected to take those photos for recommend as others comment before I came hereā¦.. But sadly it turn out like...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBuno Coffee is a great coffee location. It is evident that the baristas and owners love what they do and are quite knowledgeable about the coffees and menu items. They offer a loyalty program where you pay for 10 drinks in advance and your drink of your choice is in their system - perfect for when it gets busy during the day.
They also have a mobile coffee machine that you can request to come to your event and make the same drinks for your guests. Perhaps the only coffee place in the city that has this option for its patrons.
My favourite bean so far has been the El Salvador, however, the Brazil and Costa Rica beans have been just as good.
My go to order has been the Oat milk flat white with the El Salvador beans which is perfectly balanced each time that I come by and visit.
The staff at Buno are friendly and are able to make all types of customizable drinks. They also offer a few coffee gear items such as Hario drippers, filters, and non-dairy substitutes (yes, they even have Minor Figures) if you want to make your own drinks at home. I've already purchased 2 different coffee bags as both a gift for friends and for myself. It is always a lovely experience going to Buno and would highly recommend this location if you are ever...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame by to try their pistachio cortado, I had seen it on their ig, and it sounded delicious. I really enjoyed the taste of the pistachio as well as the pistachio butter. It was subtly sweet and paired with oat milk, which made it nice and creamy! If you are a sweet coffee fan, I would probably add sugar or even honey! I also tried their butter croissant, warmed up. It was perfect! Perfect amount of butter, and it was flakey, which is how it should be (: Staff were very accommodating, there is limited seating inside but there are some some patio tables outside! I also noticed there were doggy treats! Very...
