Food is great so not sure why some menu items changed or added when it was perfect the way it was. What needs to change is everything else. Was there after midnight the other day and the place was bright when usually lights in a bar are suppose to be dimmed, there was a foul smell like wet carpet or moldy wood, the jukebox doesnt even play music at the volume required to hear it. Aren’t jukeboxes suppose to play loud and over any other music playing? The service is adequate but usually the newer faces are more helpful and quick while the ones that have been there longer seem to not be attentive to customers. One TV is fuzzy looking than the other. Its almost like the manager is drunk or something to not see the flaws. If the place fixes the issues I mentioned then maybe there would be more customers meaning more money being made! Also a few times the general music playing sounds one sided like the bartenders choice so not sure if this place is aiming for that. I think the more top 40 music of current songs may help bring the younger crowds that may pay but that may just...
Read moreThe Fox and Fiddle on St. Clair West has very much become my local bar. The staff at the bar take the time to get to know you and the owners personally come out and shake your hand and really appreciate your business. I can honestly say I have tried almost everything on the menu and I really appreciate the personal touch the owners and the chef put on their food even though it is a chain restaurant. I am truly thankful that even though the menu has had a revamp the owners have decided to keep some local favourites such as their Beef Vindaloo (to die for) and their Mac n Cheese. Many items are made from scratch which I love. The “Fox”, as the locals call it, has decided to remain true to your typical draft beers in a city where craft beers are all the rage these days and call me old school but I like that. Everyday there is a $5 beer special and a food special under $10. How can you go wrong? If you’re in the neighbourhood I strongly suggest checking it out and pop a tune on the juke box or play a game of pool and have a pint and listen to the...
Read moreI’ve since edited this to add that they have banned me in favour of one of their regulars after the regular and I got into an altercation s he slammed me in the face and threw all my belongings all across st Clair. They have a nice back patio but again they favour their regular crowd so it’s not open to the public. They will sit you in the front patio or in the street. Washroom is almost always filthy. For having only one you would think they would clean it more frequently considering the amount of urine that ends up everywhere. AVOID THIS PLACE !!!
There was a staff member named Amanda who was an absolute nightmare to deal with. I complained about her literally one time and she decided she no longer wanted to serve me. One of the managers lacks people skills and actually rudely publicly accused me of lying about an episode that involved the server I had the issue with infront of thebother customers. Rest of the staff is great. Im actually glad this girl had quit so I could get some friendly efficient...
