Freshslice Pizza (St Clair) — Restaurant in Toronto

Excellent pizza but,

This has always been my spot for satisfying my pizza cravings. On the way to the store, you’ll pass a bunch of other pizza places—Pizza Pizza, Domino’s, you name it—but I always end up at Freshslice.

My connection with Freshslice goes beyond food. When I first came to Canada and lived in Vancouver, this was the very first pizza I tried here. It became more than just a quick bite—it’s tied to memories, milestones, and comfort.

When I found out Freshslice had locations in Toronto, I was genuinely happy. I’ve visited this particular location several times. There used to be a gentleman working here—always greeted with a smile, respectful, and his customer service was excellent. He made each visit feel welcoming.

Unfortunately, my recent experience (today) was disappointing. I asked for something very basic but felt completely ignored. What surprised me more was that the staff member working that day and I share the same cultural background (we're both from India), yet I felt treated differently in a negative way. The energy was off, and I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome.

Everyone, regardless of background, deserves respect and equal treatment. I truly hope Freshslice management takes this seriously and ensures every customer feels valued.

The flyer had a great deal 1- xl 4 toppings + 2 dipping sauce for $20. So I ordered 2 xls I thought that I was ordering from a different pizza franchise. Lol I didn’t have the greatest experience from this one when it first opened. So when I went to pick up my order the fellow that was behind the counter was very nice and polite. I told him that I ordered thinking that it was a different place. He assured me that I would not be disappointed with his pizzas. He was correct. As soon as I got home and had a bite… yum! I had to call the store and tell him that is was delicious. People are so quick to complain about things but not so quick to call to compliment when deserved. When I lived in Vancouver, freshslice was my go-to pizza shop. They had a great deal back in the day where you can get 2 slices and a pop for under $6.00. I like the pizza because it always filled me up and was always delicious. I was so happy to see Fresh Slice opening up in toronto now. I went into this location and had me a classic beef slice. The restaurant was clean, and the prices are competitive with other chain pizza shops. The Washroom was out of hand wash soap, but otherwise, it was clean. The young person at the counter was very respectful and kept the shop very clean. Dined in and enjoyed the window view. Pizza was amazing, just like I remembered it from the weat coast.
