Caribbean Heat 2 - new online ordering via website! — Restaurant in Toronto

I visit this location quite often, the service isn't always the best to start, but it usually ends well enough that I do tip. The last time I ordered lobster, Cantonese chow mein and steamed rice to go and this was the first time at this location that if I was living closer, I would return the food and take back my money. There was so much flour on the lobster, you would think I ordered lobster balls; every vegetable in the chow mein was badly over cooked. I asked for only shrimp and chicken in the chow mein, beef and squid was in it too; the noodles were badly over cooked. The rice was cool to the touch and the free chicken wing were over fried. I wasted my almost $40 and the woman who answered my call just asked me for my phone number and said she owes me a Cantonese chyw mein. She didn't want to here about the rest of the issues. When the owner is there, he treats me with respect, he didn't know that I was a regular customer since I don't usually go when he is there. The food is usually great, but this one time, on a Wednesday, it was nasty stuff. I will still go as the owner is really trying to serve the best, but staff must work well when he is not there! There is nothing Caribbean about the West Indian dishes on this menu. I bought beef curry with roti and the curry wasn't in the roti and had to be assembled. The beef was 'tenderized' and wasnt cooked thoroughly. I'm not too sure if it was even beef to be quite honest as it was mushy and undercooked. The staff said this is how it is made there and that she was unsure of what it should look like because she doesnt eat beef. The potato must have been precooked separately as it was very bland. The roti tasted like it was frozen and warmed before being served. This restaurant is not Caribbean and the food is prepared in a Chinese style. Dont let the name fool you. I got my money back by the way hence the 1 star rating. Oh yeah. The server asked me to bring my food back tomorrow (I had it delivered to my home and had to go back to the restaurant to get my money back). This was an odd request and she was adamant. I'm sure they will be serving my partially eaten food to the next person who places a curry beef order....

Head waitress was very rude and there was a old lady with spectacle who was extremely rude at the bar, she was yelling at customers for no reason. She was egoistic and mean to bar customers. Food doesn't taste like west indian food because their Chinese kitchen staff and head chef use extremely low quality cooking methods. I saw kitchen staff including chef smoking cigarette and eating in parking space. Lack of hygiene like not washing hands thoroughly after smoking a cigarette. Owner of the restaurant is a great guy but perhaps he should rethink about why he hired that old west indian lady with glasses at reception/bar. I would rate food 1.5/10 customer service 0/10 thanks to the receptionist decor 4.0/10 almost out of style decor hygiene 0.0/10 thugs and bullies at night coming in and out of this Caribbean heat 3 restaurant I can wrap it up by giving them my final salute.
