Chatime Innovation Bar — Restaurant in Toronto

Everytime I come to Yorkdale or around the area this bubble tea shop is always my go to spot. I never really had problems with the service and drinks. But as I visited today due to how loud it was and how I was looking at the menu to figure out what other drinks to grab for my family members the lady in the front of cash yells for me. Which at first I was taken aback but I realized I might’ve not heard what they had said the first few times. As I ordered my drink I paid and I mentioned I didn’t want a receipt, and as I walk away they calls out to me saying about the receipt and I shake my head not really understanding what she said and she asked her pardon and she looks at me and starts to yell that they haven’t given me my order number. I walk back and take it in disbelief as I await my drinks. I’m a student that’s worked at a bubble tea shop as well and as loud and stressful as it gets. I’ve never really had a reason to tell or give out the same attitude as she gave me.

Overall the drinks were good and my family likes them, but leaving this location...

The service and organization needs a bit of improvement. This Chatime is part of their Innovation Bar stores, so there's lots of their specialty experimental items. The staff are very knowledgeable of the specialty items and make sure to explain them to you if you're unclear.

Beverages taste consistent with other Chatime locations that I've visited before. I appreciate they offer Sago as a topping here. They offer hot and cold beverages which are good. I love the Passionfruit Glow which they have!

However, the service could be slightly more improved. While I was there, maybe someone was on break but.. there was constantly 5 people in front of us with 6-7 people behind us waiting to get served. The staff had two people for intake orders, but 1 staff creating the beverage and 1 to service/finish up. That doesn't make sense at all and causes a bit of an over crowdedness inside the store unit (which isn't that big).

If you're not in any hurry, I suppose the wait could be worth it. But if you're not, just go for Tim Hortons and skip...

First time at this location and I really enjoyed the customer service and the products offered. The wait time wasn't absurdly long and it gave me a bit of time to think of what I wanted. Although they didn't have my first choice, the server took his time to give me his recommendation.

I ended up deciding on the Thai Milk Tea with tapioca and it was heaven. My order was done within less than a minute. The tapioca was perfect and the tea was just amazing. I personally got the sweetness at 50% which was just right.

Definitely will be coming back here again next time!

I recommend having two choices made up before you get to the server and even if they don't have what you want, I'm sure they will be able to recommend you something that will pique your...
