I have been patronizing the Yorkdale location for years. My family and I usually visit every weekend. The staff working here are among the most friendly and helpful Tims staff in the GTA. Every week I look forward to seeing longtime staff such as Bob, Arlene, and others. The past few weeks though, I have been served by "Aaron" (who gave me his name but never wears a name tag - so this may or may not be his name). Aaron has insisted on two occasions (two weeks ago and this week when he served me again) that his Manager "Glen" has told him that vanilla ice coffee is not included under the Tell Tims survey - it is just regular ice coffee that is included. I do not understand this. Every other Tims in the GTA (actually all over Ontario) provides vanilla ice coffee with the survey, and one employee in Brampton even explained to me that when they enter a vanilla ice coffee and press the Tell Tims button, the coffee gets discounted to a $1. I do not know if "Aaron" is making this up as "Glen" never seems to be working, so I am unable to confirm this information. Dealing with Aaron has come to a point where I would rather patronize Starbucks than deal with him. This is too bad as the rest of the longtime staff are so great, that this one rotten apple is spoiling it for the whole bunch. This week Aaron was so focused on denying the vanilla ice coffee, that he prepared 3 XL drinks for me and neglected to write on the lid what each one of the drinks was. Isn't there a person in charge of this place or does the room work the same? Someone should tell the staff that they need to control the temperature of the water and coffee and that they should not give that coffee or tea to the customer until it reaches the appropriate temperature. What is written on the screen is 2 milk and 1 sugar, and what I bought is a cold coffee, 2 milk and 2 sugar.

Hot drinks are not hot for some reason. It may be due to density, but it also happens at different hours. I drink 4 or 5 drinks during the day, one of which may or may not be hot. Please do careful work. Are the prices of the drinks the same? I want coffee. Tea fee is charged.

A few staff have difficulty understanding. Because what they say and what they do are not the same. I don't know if the drinks are a company-related problem. I want coffee with milk or tea with milk. I don't remember tasting milk more than once during the day. I ask for coffee with milk and they give me cream. I ask if it has milk, he says yes but there is no milk in it.

Read moreThis location at Yorkdale Mall is quite busy. I prefer to order now by Tim Horton App. Though even ordering by the App it's busy as well. As customers it would be great for a us at times to be pleasant as well. A little "Hello" or "Hi" can help the staff in staying positive in their shifts. At times as customers we fail to remember that employees are human too and we can be courteous in our approach. With every busy place sometimes your order can be wrong or not enough sugar or something but at this location I noticed you can tell them and they are willing to assist. I have dealt with various employees at this location and some smile and some don't but same as everyday customers. Approach is everything.
