Chez Paul is a sweet little crêperie on the Queen Street West which serves delicious crêpes and galettes inspired by the Brittany region of France. The chef, Paul, specializes in these classic French dish recipes, and their menu boasts of celebrating the rich history and authentic flavors of this region.🇫🇷🤌🏻
What's more, the chef told us that they use the buckwheat flour for galettes and wheat flour for crepes, making way for healthier and finer variants. 🥰✅
Whether you're in the mood for a savory galette or a sweet crepe, the menu contains a surprise for everyone :)
We started with La Tradition and La Biquette. La Tradition was stuffed with eggs, French Emmental cheese, and butter sauteed mushrooms. With a soft, fresh, and warm bite, this didn't disappoint at all! 😌❤️
The force to reckon with, however, was La Biquette - a mighty galette with a bouquet of the finest ingredients. It felt like enjoying a garden filled with the creamiest goat cheese & cream, fresh cherry tomatoes, the sourness & acidity of which balanced perfectly with the bitters of arugula leaves, nutty crunchiness of walnuts and the sweetness of honey. 🤩🥰
We ended our visit with the most delightful and crepes - Noisette Maison and Noisette Maison Et Oreo – chocolatey hazelnut spread with and without the Oreo cookies. These are a classic and cannot be missed if you visit this cute crêperie. Something shifts inside you when you take the first bite of the crepes oozing warm hazelnut chocolate.✨😉
As Emily in Paris would have said, merci beaucoup, Chef Paul, for a wonderful...
Read moreAbsolutely phenomenal crepes!!!! But specifically the savoury crepes made with buckwheat flour (galettes) were just fabulous. I had the biquette and the touch of honey was a perfect compliment to the savoury nature of the arugula and goats cheese. But the homemade hazelnut spread was class as well (we even brought a jar home!) Very fair pricing from my experience - a galette AND a sweet crepe, a high quality drink (fresh squeezed orange juice or latte), fruit and a salad for $30 is extremely reasonable these days for a super filling brunch in Toronto! Buy if you want a lighter breakfast, individual crepes are anywhere from $6 to $18 depending on your preference and desired fillings. The owner is so so sweet and nice as well. I hope he can get a little more support in the restaurant and kitchen soon! If people will be patient as they get settled that would be nice. It looks like he's handling the whole restaurant and all the delivery orders with basically just himself and one or two support staff, which is a lot I would think. But I expect the service will only get faster, and would definitely recommend and hope to go...

They have permanently closed.
This is very unfortunate as they served crêpes with quality ingredients and service was on point.
Wish them all the best.
2024 Food is homemade & fresh, and portions are more than generous. You feel the care and attention put into every dish. Even their side salad was really good. It had roasted pine nuts, mixed greens and cherry tomatoes and a rather lovely dressing made with Dijon mustard.
For mains, we had la méga complète crêpe (love sunny-side-up eggs) and la nordique (made with loads of smoked salmon).
For dessert, we had the mamie régine (a simple crêpe with organic sugar cane, lemon & butter), fruit rouge (fresh berries, icing sugar and homemade whipped cream) and a crêpe with slices of banana & a homemade hazelnut spread.
Service was friendly and efficient. The owner is from Paris and very accommodating. Nous avons passé une...
