Me and my husband decided to try this restaurant since we were already around the area. We initially wanted to try the Cafe Polonez but they did not have available tables and the wait was too long so we came here. There was a total of 1 customer inside before us. We were not happy with our food or service. The drinks are outrageously overpriced and not well chilled (it also almost seemed like really old beer).

I ordered a schnitzel and it was not fresh at all, it tasted like cardboard and was extremely difficult to cut, the salads were also not fresh and tasted like they were straight from a jar - not really the authentic way of serving. Although the mashed potatoes seemed fresh, there was chunks of uncooked potato inside. I didn't complain because the lady serving us was already giving us weird vibes when ordering so I just wanted to eat and go home.

Shortly after visiting I started feeling very nauseous and was sick from this food. This was my first time there and will never return.

2 plates and 2 beers cost...

Ate here for the first time today , Nov 12 2017 . The first obstacle was trying to order while a couples 2 young girls pounded wildly on a piano , and yes the parents are partially to blame but the management should have stopped it for the sake of the rest of the patrons so we didnt have to . The food was not good Ie. The cabbage roll was barely warm and bland , The shnitzel was also not hot & had more breading than meat and was not crispy . My friend inquired about getting a soup for her husband to go BEFORE we ordered our meal and when we prepared to leave 40 minutes later , she asked the waitress for the soup only to be told they ran out . She then decided to order a shnitzel sandwich to go , PLAIN , NOTHING ON IT , and emphasized this strongly . The sandwich arrived with dill pickles, tomato ,lettuce and tomato sauce on it . Personally I would have sent it back . This is why this restaurant is nearly empty while the one up the street has a crowd on the sidewalk waiting 30 minutes plus for a seat. Will...

very dirty dishes!!!they did not even wash, but just let it stream of water, and then wipe plates and cups a dirty paper towel!!!although the dishes were dirty pieces of dried food!!here you can catch a disease!!!The waitress did not wash their hands after taking the dirty dishes or taking out the trash and garbage bag and a container!! then she takes those dirty hands clean glasses and pours a drins for people and touch plates with food! And the worst thing that it is also involved in food preparation! the same hands!hair waitresses are not connected and dismantled and can easily be in your plate!!!working staff and the owner of the cafe did not know anything about the rules of service and restaurant management, as well as the elementary rules of sanitation!!!!Take care of yourself, your nerves and your health! and choose another place to stay! here you are obviously not relaxed constantly thinking no Does your plate and glass of viruses and traces of another trip to...

Small bar style restaurant serving comfort homestyle Polish food. We ordered Bigos (Polish meat/cabbage stew) and Talerz dla jednego (Mixed Platter for 1: cabbage roll, potato pancake, schnitzel, cold salad and pierogies). I preferred the Bigos dish more as it was very flavourful and the meat had a nice smoky taste. The menu specified that the Talerz dla jednego comes with 3 pierogies but we ended up getting 4 which was nice. We also shared a Czerwony barszcz z uszkami (Red borscht with dumplings) which was flavourful and generously sized. Loved the red brick inside but overall, the service here was a bit on the slower side.

Food here was great and affordable. I ordered the pierogis (mixed) and my date ordered the platter for one - both dishes were delicious! They had a decent selection of Polish beers/liquors too. The service was friendly and attentive. The vibe felt like an old European restaurant. I especially enjoyed the different variations of Careless Whisper that played. All in all, great experience. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a no-fuss Polish place. It also doesn’t seem to get too busy, so you won’t have to worry about waiting for a table (unlike most Toronto restaurants on a Saturday night).
