I am giving this bakery a 5 stars rating but their customer service doesn't deserve the 5 stars at all. A -1 star is what they deserve for poor service.

I enjoy supporting local independent businesses especially in the area I work at.

I came in for a few things for my crew, I picked a ham and cheese quiche, a meat cabbage roll, and the older woman who was serving went to the cash register to cash me out so quick, I told the lady not to ring me in yet, I wasn't done with my purchases yet. She kept calling out my total for the 2 items. I told her I wanted more for my husband and other contractors. I added an apple tart, cherry tart, peacan tart and a lemon cherry cake. She kept rushing to cash me out. This lady has no customer service nor was she polite serving me, I felt she was rushing me out to serve the next customer. I wasn't there begging for freebies nor am I looking for a discount. She kept totalling up my total and I wasn't done with my purchase. It was so annoying being rushed out. I continued on with my order and asked for an espresso but she kept on telling what was my total. I just gave up paid $34 and left and went to Tim Horton's for the rest of the other 4 coffees needed for the whole crew.

I will never come back to this bakery. Too bad they do have great tasting food but her attitude killed my needs to give her my business. I hope she is not the owner, because that is extremely...

I really like this bakery and I've been coming here for years. Their cookies, cakes, cupcakes, you name it are always delicious. I've never ordered anything that tastes bad. My favourite items are the butter tart and brownie, and the entire bakery is also super affordable. The staff are also super friendly and nice. I've always had a good experience coming here. They are a great bakery for the holiday season as they always have festive items in stock. Around thanksgiving, they always have the pies and around Christmas, its the cookies. And if you're celebrating a special occasion, they always have cakes in stock. Also, they have free customer parking outside if you just need to I just absolutely love this bakery, and you should definitely check this place out if you're...

I called an placed an order for a carrot cake with the writing "happy birthday Katherine". The employee who took my order was professional and ensured that we went over the spelling and words I wanted written on the cake. They took my contact information (cell phone number) & I informed them I would pick up at 5:30pm. Upon picking up the cake I asked to see it. The lady who cashed me out said "the box is taped up". I asked oh I just wanted to make sure the writing I asked for was on the cake. She said "yes it's there". I paid for the cake and then when we hosted the birthday I opened the cake to find this (see picture attached). I'm not sure why this was written on the cake as it's not what I asked for at all. I asked for "Happy birthday Katherine" not "HBD...

Did you read their sandwich-board in front of the store? There’s a BREAD RUSH - Mon-Fri after 6 p.m. The daily baked fresh breads (all natural made with no preservatives) are offered at $2.00 - until they’re gone. Now that is a generous gesture for the residents of Roncesvalles. Their bread selection is quite varied. I purchased a loaf tonight made with lavender and quinoa. I picked up their crabapple jelly for a piece with toast and tea as soon as I get home. Hmm! Apple and lavender sound so pleasant together. I’ve also tried their red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing and their MAC and CHEESE. Both are exceptional. Their menu is broad. It’s going to take me a while to work my way through it. Recently they have been offering croissants too!

This bakery has a decent selection of baked goods. I ordered a chicken pot pie that had a tasty filling, but some of the top pie crust had areas of incomplete pie crust cooking. ($5.35) Maybe reheating in the microwave should have been the oven instead. The staff was helpful and offered to reheat the pie. This is a reasonable price, and I will try them another time.
