Was going to be dine in but suddenly changed to out
On February 15th, around 1:40pm I visited this establishment at Markham and Lawrence with my significant other and experienced the worst customer service we've ever had. There were two staff members at the front counter present: 2 females. I asked the cashier if they still sell crinkled cut fries because I don't like crinkled cut fries she answered my question to no "No it's straight cut now we've changed it. Me and significant other we're ready to order but the. Both ladies started to talk while we're waiting there to order. When they stopped talking I asked if they were done talking and they said yes and I said "Okay good because I can understand what you guys are saying." (If my calculations are correct they're talking about my significant other's appearance because he's disabled but they're 110% talking about either me or significant other. Tone of speech right?)
Both staff members' and now suddenly the cook's attitudes worsened from there, complete silence for about two minutes, to one of the female employees speaking in their native language (mother tongue), and laughed amongst themselves.
At that point, we got our order and took pictures of my combo because something still didn't feel right. I had to question myself on their ability to prepare my food and I was right everything is everywhere. I would like for everyone on here to know that this location is a tad sketchy. Don't worry we won't be returning to this location. 👍🏽
We've been to different Church's Chicken locations and received much better services from the other locations, but this experience left a very negative impression. We expect better professionalism and respect from staff, especially when they're not speaking in their native language...

There were two staff members present: a male and a female. The male staff member was unable to answer any of my questions and seemed unfamiliar with the menu, including the difference between sandwiches. The female staff member was on the phone and appeared irritated when she had to end her conversation to assist me.
I saw a special advertised on the screen and ordered it, only to be told that it wasn’t available. When I questioned how a special could be advertised in-store and then not offered, I was told it was not available or in their system, which felt like false advertising.
Both staff members’ attitudes worsened from there. I stepped outside to call another Church’s location, which confirmed that the special was available. I returned to the store and asked to speak with a manager, but I was denied. When I mentioned that the other location had confirmed the special, the staff became rude, began speaking in their native language, and laughed amongst themselves. They then said, “Do you want it or not? We’ll make it for you.”
At that point, I felt uncomfortable with their service and questioned their ability to prepare my food. I asked for their names, the manager’s name, and the store number. They refused to provide any information, telling me to go online for details, but did mention the manager’s name is Sohail. As I left, they laughed and high-fived each other, showing no remorse for their behavior.
I went to a different Church’s location and received much better service there, but this experience left a very negative impression. I expect better professionalism and respect from staff, especially when...
Read moreI bought the spicy 8 piece chicken combo with fries and honey biscuits (along with 4 Jalapeño Texan chicken sandwiches, 6 hot wings and 5 piece chicken tenders). I waited 30 minutes—and I had no issue with the wait due to the crowd—I just assumed they'd make sure my large order had everything inside the bag but they missed the honey biscuits and the 5 chicken tenders were more like 2 pieces with scattered tiny, thin pieces that don't even measure up to 3 full pieces of tenders. They've done this before many times but I just brush it off, not wanting to say anything negative because the food is still delicious—but come on, how many times can you do this before it makes one feel cheated? I get that they are busy but I am paying over $100 for these items and the honey biscuits are what my son loves the most and he's disappointed again and again. Please be mindful and don't let this happen anymore because I sat there for the last 10 minutes in an almost empty restaurant so you had enough time to ensure all of the items were accounted for. Two more people lined up so I decided to just trust that you got it right this time because otherwise I'd have to unpack the many boxes and paper bags already neatly placed in the large carry-bag to double check and that would waste everyone's time. Money doesn't grow on...
