Based on the reviews, I really wanted this place to shine. The upstairs sitting area is pretty miraculous – it was pretty full of people but quiet can you imagine a café or a small restaurant that’s not blasting music??? This is the spot if you wanna have a meal or coffee or a snack without music blasting through your head (a.k.a. like Starbucks or any other coffee shop in Toronto). The bathroom downstairs on the main floor, was clean and easily accessible .

The menu seemed very complete – lots of baked goods, both fresh and frozen, and some prepared food, such as lasagna. I had the meatball sandwich and the brownie and the lemonade. Here’s my two cents for the food; the meatball sandwich hit the spot, not too big and just filling enough as a lunch. The brownie was a bit disappointing – I’m not sure what it was, but it seemed like it was lacking substance too sugary and not enough cocoa flavor. The biggest disappointment however, was the “lemonade” dash it was basically lemon water. My son put it best. “lemonade is supposed to taste a bit sour and a bit sweet but it was neither sour or sweet… It tasted like very faint, lemon and water…). The staff are extremely friendly. The ambiance was very inviting so I will give this place another shot just to try...

Coffee is ok, but the female cashier is terrible human-being, how is she qualified to do customer service work? She has zero respect to customers, fire her immediately! —— My previous review is not specific on what happened, I realized it wasn’t helpful and here is what happened to me: I went in to get coffee in a morning and was asked what kind of coffee do I want, she listed a few but I could only make clear of “dark roast” and really wanted to know what other options were then she became inpatient and even angry at me and gave me a different answer than she gave me earlier , it is obviously her way of trying to avoid further explanations, as a customer I felt embarrassed and got my dark roast then got the hell out of the place. It turned out the coffee was good. My precious comment was definitely too emotional and not fair to the coffee shop itself and it could just be her disliking me specifically for some mysterious reasons I don’t know, what I do know is I had a bad day...

I should have given one star from the service I received today. I ordered a ham&cheese croissant and an Italian deli from the only curly hair guy that wear glasses there. No hate but I absolutely love all of the girls working there accept him. He took my order today and took it behind to toast it. Or did him? He right away started bartending and after 10 customers walks out, ask us did we order a coffee :) Bro actually did that turn around and ask the girls hows the sandwich and they were like what sandwich? THEY FORGOT MY ORDER. Yea after that of course I got my sandwiches right away. I dont know if hes not focus or something but dont pay attention to order you take is crazy. Because its already made and all they do its just toast it and add sauce. The sandwiches are good so make up for the service. I’m just unfortunate he took my order today because he actually looks and acts like he doesnt want to be there. But dont get me wrong their pastry...

If you're looking for a cozy bakery café with delicious baked goods and friendly service, then Circles & Squares Bakery Café is the great place for you. It’s in the heart of Yonge and Davisville, and is a hidden gem that is well worth a visit. I recently had the chance to try and I was impressed. The bakery is small and unassuming, but the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they are happy to answer any questions you have about the menu. The baked goods at this bakery are simply divine. The pastries are light and flaky, the cakes are moist and flavorful, and the bread is fresh and crusty. I was particularly impressed with the selection of vegan and gluten-free options. In addition to the baked goods, they also offers a variety of coffee and tea drinks. The coffee is strong and flavorful, and the tea is fresh and fragrant.
