This COBS location is a local favourite in the Beaches. People come here each day to get their bread and pastry fix-ins. They bake their items fresh each day, so it best to come early in the morning. Later throughout the day, some items may be sold out. They also donate their remaining pastries to local food banks at the end of each day. My favourite, guilty pleasure pastry to get from here are their cinnamon buns. THEY ARE TO DIE FOR. They always are always moist, soft and fluffy, and have a generous layer of icing. The cinnamon taste is prominent but not overpowering. One of the times I stopped in to get myself a bun, the baker kindly added more icing to the bun I picked, since it had less icing than usual. I appreciated the gesture! Every other time the buns have been smothered in icing and did not need any adjustments! This is a chain, and I’ve found this location to be the most homey, friendly and consistent. It is a corner store however, so there is a maximum capacity. You may have to wait outside until some space inside clears up, but you once you step in and smell the fresh pastries, you’ll forget all about it.

It was my first time being here and later I got to know that they are at many locations. This was my first time seeing read loafs which were freshly baked and sliced after you order. Also one has option to get mini loafs(which are definitely not mini :-)) I liked the taste of the lemon blueberry scone and the cape seed bread. Spinach and deta croissant was good too. The best part was the nice staff. The person at the counter took time to answer our questions patiently. They only allow 2 customers inside the shop right now due to covid situation so be prepared to wait. Must try!

This is my go to place for plain white bread. I can't think of a better place than COBS for white bread and similar products. Unfortunately their other products aren't that great. Croissants are limp and taste no better than the mass produced ones you find at grocery stores. Cinnamon buns are sometimes almost missing the cinnamon and brown sugar entirely. How do you skimp on the cinnamon for cinnamon buns?

The one star was given due to fly's being in their display cabinet. These were the same fly's one would see landing on feeces. I have a thing about seeing fly's crawling over a sticky bun and when I mentioned this to an employee they shrugged their shoulders and thought nothing about it. I didn't purchase anything that day and to be honest I was at the Beach location this past weekend and you guessed it, I saw the fly's again! Fly's fly around outside landing on pooh full of parasites, fly comes into Cob's bread and goes into a sticky bun, cinnamon bun or apple ring, customer eats this sweet treat and fly full of parasites. Client gets sick and has a bad reaction. All of this is possible. So, here's something, do something about your fly's coming into your store and please listen to a person like myself who made you aware of an issue. I seen this now 4 times and Cobs Bread has not corrected the problem at the Beach location in Toronto. Perhaps I should...

Sooo.... not sure if due to this and similar reviews but Cobs has changed the practice I was complaining about, and this is no longer the case - Kudos to Cobs for listening and making a tough situation livable again. One can again order for pickup - and get a back door handover without even going inside. Thanks for listening!! So very disappointed. I love Cobs' product, but they've switched to UBER Eats and as a result you can no longer place an order for pick up. Which, in these COVID dark days is just dumb. It means either standing longer in line and then longer in the store, sharing air with others, OR it means your food is now in some unknown UBER driver's hands, their car etc in addition to the hands of the Cobs employee. Not cool, Cobs. And definitely not smart. Raised the risk way too high. Uber Eats during C19 is just begging for...
