I highly suggest you avoid ordering your drinks online for pickup at this location. This location has never failed to disappoint me when ordering through their app for pickup -- it's been consistently that bad. This was my most recent experience:
I placed my order of 1 drink at 9:08pm. At 9:35pm, still no update that my order has even been acknowledged let alone ready for pickup. I decided to call at 9:35pm to inquire about the status of my order. One of the employees answered the phone and I let him know what I ordered (milk tea smoothie) and what time I placed my order. The employee asks for my name so I give him my name and his response is, "oh. It's ready." Immediately after the end of our phone call is when they send me a text notification that my order is ready. It literally takes me less than 5 minutes to walk to this location, and once I arrived, I received my drink and it looked like it was ready to be picked up 20 minutes earlier given how melted my "smoothie" was.
Whenever I walk in to order, it takes them 10 minutes at maximum for me to receive my order regardless of how busy they are, but ordering online is somehow unreasonably longer. It seems that the employees are too caught up with in-person orders causing online orders for pickup to become an afterthought, which defeats the purpose of ordering online as it's no longer convenient and essentially has you 'waiting in line' behind in-person customers even if you placed your order before them. This just shows there's a lack of attention to detail, prioritization and time management that needs to be addressed so that customers online aren't getting screwed over time after time. Customers ordering online shouldn't have to cue the employees by calling and asking about their order before they come around to updating their systems so that we're able to receive notice of our orders in a...
Read moreThey opened very recently and they are currently doing a soft opening. For a business that just opened they seem to have a lot of customers, because as I was waiting for my order (about 3 mins), I saw 5 other people enter the store.
The store is clean and nice. They have a cool design and even the washroom looks stylish. The washroom is gender-neutral, by the way.
I ordered two things for myself and a family member: grapefruit tea & juice: 10 out of 10! The tea had CHUNKS of a freshly squeezed grapefruit in it! And it was sugar-free, just like I asked. Very tasty, I will be back to this. green tea macchiato. I’d say it was 8/10, but only because it seemed too milky to me if it makes sense? Someone who likes such recipe would probably give it 10 out of 10.
They have an app and you can order ahead, which is what I did. The app also has a “buy 10 get 1 free” option. It’s not a super user-friendly app, but good enough for now. Hopefully, they will modernise it in the future.
Really happy with this bubble tea place. The price is comparable to all the other bubble tea shops. And it’s not super expensive for this pricey...
Read moreI like Coco bubble tea the most from when I lived in Toronto. I went to this one a few times and its sometimes a miss, but mostly good. However, sometimes the employees here are super strict, to a really weird point, about swapping toppings. I normally get Taro with pearls, but twice now they did not let me swap the Sago out for pearls? Once they were out of Sago and still gave me a hard time about swapping to pearls, or even just no toppings at all? They expected me to order something else entirely? My husband also asked for the 3 guys but no pearls, and they said no customizing. I asked if they could put the pearls in my cup and they said no. When we got our drinks, they gave me the Taro and acted like they did me a great service because they didn't charge me extra for swapping to pearls, even though they were out of sago and refused to give me no toppings. It was like talking to NPCs with prefilled choices. The Coco in Toronto let me get whatever drink with whatever topping, and this place does occasionally. The drink...
