I really want to like this location. But it continuously keeps on disappointing.
Pictured is the 4 piece chicken strip basket I ordered from the apps ‘deals’ section. Now I understand that shrinkflation is real, but the ‘strips’ were all the size of a ketchup packet (shown for scale). I’d say that’s more of a nugget size. Makes me wonder if when taking advantage of a discounted offer, are the portions decidedly lesser?
At this location specifically we have stopped ordering dipped cones and peanut buster parfaits because in the drive thru they are prepared too far in advance and then stored in a glass fridge/freezer before being handed to us through the window. They are already melted by this point. PLEASE stop with this process.
It’s an unfortunate drive thru lane layout where A) you must exit forced directly out onto Kennedy without being able to stay on DQ property and so B) those ordering ‘hot eats’ can’t be asked to pull into a waiting spot or alternate window for their order so ultimately the line up of cars builds and waits behind them. ‘Cool treats’ obviously don’t take as long to prepare.
More often than not the staff greeting you at the speaker do so as if they are being held against their will in a miserable job. Maybe the management and pay is so terrible that it is the case. But could we maybe work on soft skills in this forward facing role? Just a pet peeve at this specific location primarily.
I honestly make every attempt to patronize the Kennedy & 14th location over this one but being so close to the 401 this one is sometimes most convenient.

Read moreI went throught the drive through at about 7:30 last night. Right form the jump the girl taking our order was SO RUDE. We asked for 2 hot dogs. She said " We don't have hot dogs" in such a mean mean way. Like why not just say sorry sir we don't offer hot dogs. So after that everything we ordered she was literally like " IS THAT IT" like a good 5 or 6 times. Then she took it upon herself to say we were finished. However we were still ordering. At this point I became very offended and upset and I said. WERE NOT DONE. The next thing I heard is why I'm writing this review in the first place. She then said "OH OK WOOH" Then Laughed at me. I was so upset. First you have showed me nothing but disrespect throughout this whole transaction. And now you wanna act like I offended you? Terrible customer service. I mean your loss the bill would have been way over $60.00 if I was a manger and one of my employees made my business loose this much money. I would wanna know.
UPDATED:
I called the store directly today and spoke to the Manger and explained the situation to her. I can now see why the employess are so rude and unprofessional. When the manager herself seemed very unapologetic and very just uninterested in how I was treated. Shame on you. Also I'm not 100% sure this wasn't the same person that was at the window. She sounded...
Read moreAlthough my mother in-law liked the cake we purchased for her, I was disappointed that I was dupped into purchasing a larger cake than I requested. I ordered the smaller 8" inch strawberry shortcake blizzard cake, and requested "happy birthday mom" to be written on the cake. When I pulled up to the pickup window the cake was ready, but the guy working there asked me what size I had ordered. I explained the smaller of the two sizes, the 8" inch. He looked over his shoulder at the person standing beside him who said something quietly to him and then he handed over the pos machine to me. To be honest, I didn't notice what they charged me until I got home. That's when I realized they wrote the happy birthday message on the 10" inch cake by mistake as opposed to the 8" inch cake. They realized their mistake when they had asked me what size cake I had ordered at the window after writing on the cake and charged me for their mistake, anyways. Although I wasn't ripped off, I'm upset for being taken advantage of. I didn't need all of that cake that I was tricked into buying. They made the mistake and wrote on the wrong cake, therefore, their mistake turned into my problem. I won't be back because of this reason and will go back to Baskin-Robbins. Honesty is the best policy, this location has...
