Delysees Luxury Desserts is a delightful gem nestled in Yorkdale Mall, and it’s a must-visit for anyone with a penchant for exquisite pastries and elegant desserts. Pros: 1. Artistic Presentation: Each dessert is a masterpiece, beautifully crafted and visually stunning. You can tell that a lot of thought goes into the aesthetics, making each item a feast for the eyes. 2. Quality Ingredients: The flavors are vibrant and well-balanced, showcasing high-quality ingredients. From rich chocolates to fresh fruits, every bite bursts with flavour. 3. Variety: The menu offers an impressive selection, including gluten-free and vegan options, ensuring there's something for everyone. Whether you're in the mood for a classic French pastry or a modern twist, Delysees has it all. 4. Ambiance: The setting is elegant and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a special occasion or a relaxing afternoon treat. The decor exudes a sophisticated vibe that enhances the overall experience. 5. Friendly Service: The staff is knowledgeable and passionate about their offerings. They are eager to provide recommendations and insights into the desserts, enhancing the overall experience. Cons: 1. Price Point: As a luxury dessert shop, the prices can be steep. While the quality justifies the cost for many, it might not be suitable for all budgets. 2. Limited Seating: The space can get crowded, especially during peak hours. It might be challenging to find a comfortable spot to enjoy your dessert if the mall is busy. 3. Waiting Time: During busy times, there can be a wait for popular items. While the desserts are worth it, some may find the wait frustrating. I highly recommend trying the signature cakes and the seasonal specials, as they truly highlight the skill and creativity of the pastry chefs. If you’re a fan of unique flavor combinations, don’t miss out on the innovative creations that Delysees regularly introduces. Will I Go Back? Absolutely! Despite the higher prices and occasional wait, the overall experience is worth it. The combination of beautiful desserts, quality ingredients, and excellent service makes Delysees a standout destination in Yorkdale Mall. I look forward to indulging in their latest offerings on my next visit!

Terrible experience. Ordered from online platform to pick up the Arc De Luxe bundle of three with their own promo of a free pack of 6 macarons with order over $45. First of all, I never received a call from the store throughout the food preparation period but got told item not in stock only after I physically arrived at the store at the pick up time. Told me to switch for a medium sized whole cake with no macarons but aren’t they totally different things and where are my macarons? If you don’t have the item in stock you should have first set “out of stock” on online platforms, then contacted me to negotiate, not wait until I’m physically in store and say hey we don’t have it you either substitute for something totally different or you get nothing. If you don’t want to give free macarons also, take it off from the platform! Another substitution choice was to pay an extra 10 dollars plus tax to get another totally different bundle with very limited choices and still no macarons. Really disappointing. Ended up being me and my friends finding that there’s actually Arc de Luxe available in store but wrong flavors. It should have come with Midnight Cherry Royale, Golden Pistachio Bliss and Choco Elderberry Noir. But they only had two flavors available, something mango and something with mulberry, meaning no matter what we choose we are not getting the flavor we should get originally and 2 cakes in the bundle will end up being the same flavor. But still, only if we take that wrong flavor Arc de Luxe we won’t need to pay extra and can get the macarons. We were basically kind of forced to get the wrong flavor items or else we don’t get anything we wanted at all. Also the macarons ended up poorly packed and some of them were broken too. Last but not least, it’s worth mentioning the attitude was unprofessional as well. I felt quite uncomfortable with how the situation was handled.

Food - I got the 7 mini cake set. There was a split opinion among my family. The majority said it was a muted sweet flavor which they did not like. I on the otherhand do like that and thought it went well with a sweet tea. The cakes arent strong in flavor but I personally like the lightness. We all agree the presentation was beautiful. My favorite was then chocolate trio. Service- Great! I was able to place and order for pick up online. I then talked to customer service to switch dates earlier. When I went in they didn't have the modified order. I show them my order number and receipt. They were able to accommodate and let me choose 7 mini cakes. I'm pleased they were able to rectify the situation seamlessly. The staff were friendly and professional! Kudos. Ambiance- The branding, interior and food were all carefully thought out. I apperciate the anesthetic. Gold detaling with a contemporary style. There was seating outside and located in a bustling neighborhood. Accessibility- Located on the first floor it was easy to get in. Overall, if you like sweet and light desserts to pair with tea or something similar go here. If you are looking for a stronger sense of flavor where it can stand on it's own. I would suggest another place. Definitely, would come back again.

Realizing how long this post is after writing it, here is a quick summary- packaging and visuals: 5/5 tastes, textures: 5/5 service: 5/5 value for price: 5/5

In short, I REALLY enjoyed my experience with Delysees :)

This bakery absolutely lives up to its name of luxury desserts! If you want to spoil someone and make them feel extra special, you’ll want to get them Delysees. My experience with them from beginning to end, was incredible.

I had several questions about different items online and they were very quick to respond which helped with my ordering.

I also had the pleasure of receiving items both via delivery and in-store. First, I loved the communication I received from the delivery driver - not sure if it’s the norm or mine just happened to be exceptional that day but he called me before arriving, giving me about 10 mins head’s up, plus he was super friendly.

From the moment I was handed the gorgeous black and gold bag, I felt assured that the person to whom I was gifting would be impressed and love it at first sight! Definitely got, “ooh”s and, “ah”s when boxes were opened too. The base on which the desserts were placed were even customized with the store’s signature black and gold design matching the bag and box instead of a generic cardboard/silver cake base being used.

Each item inside was beautiful and seemed to be handled with the utmost care. Didn’t see a single weird, out of place lump on these desserts!

Taste and textures were exquisite. I really loved that the pastries werent just super sweet sugar bombs. I find that some places just make raspberry flavoured things overly sweet and loses all its tartness but found that theirs was a perfect balance. (passionfruit is also super yummy here!)

I was pleasantly surprised with the larger than expected portion sizes. Some fancy places give you these annoyingly small bite sizes. Treats here mostly seem to be a decent shareable size (depending how good u are at sharing haha).

Some of the individual desserts I had were placed on a biscuit base which I think is a really fun, thoughtful touch. Most places just place things on a piece of cardboard/foil, but Delysees throw in an extra little, bonus cookie - I dont think it’s meant to be part of the main feature but you can def eat it with a cup of tea.

Also had a chance to stop by their cafe (sidebar, location is across the street from a popular Toronto brewery so if anybody needs to try and convince their partner who enjoys beer to visit Delysees, you get desserts and they can pick up some beer!) - super cute inside, clean and elegant decor, in-store staff also very warm and welcoming.

Price is very reasonable compared to other similar style Toronto bakeries but Delysees has one of the best packaging. One of the cakes I ordered was only $50 - unique flavour combo that wasn’t offered anywhere else (coconut, chocolate, raspberry YUM!), comfortably serves 10 people. Other ones I found at that price point only served 6 so I would have to get a larger size but then I would be charged $20+ more.

If i had one crticism, it would be that their website doesn’t share all the info that I needed (eg, ingredients due to allergies, care instructions because some items weren’t going to be eaten same day) so I had to contact them but again, they’re SUPER responsive so not really a problem (and on par w other bakery websites I searched lacked similar info). Also, I personally like being able to see what a cake looks like inside (eg, layers) and not many cakes have that picture avail online (neither do other bakery websites) but I decided to take a chance and am soooo happy that I did!

I have no doubt that I will be ordering from here again...

I recently visited this location after being in the Ossington area around 8pm yesterday (Sept. 30). Despite being in my work scrubs after finishing dinner in that area with a friend, the service I received was quite disappointing. The female staff member on duty seemed to ignore us for at least 5 minutes before I felt compelled to get her attention. I have read a previous review from this past summer so it doesn’t seem like it’s been the first time. It was so bad that she made eye contact with us several times and said nothing. I had to start tapping my fingers on the counter (unfortunately), for her to even bother to look up, even after all the exchanges of eye contact she made with us. I couldn’t even slip a moment to say “excuse me”, since she would just hurriedly walk to the opposite end to perhaps avoid us before we got fed up and would walk out. I think maybe that’s what she wanted; for us to get tired of waiting for her and for us to walk out. That was the complete vibe at least because that was how long she had us standing there for. This lack of acknowledgment made me question if my work attire influenced the poor service. Mind you, I’m in immoderate navy blue scrubs and an open knit beige cardigan. She was previously busy with a group of elders who were also dining in. However, still made me wait for another four minutes without acknowledgment. A simple, “I’ll be right with you in a couple of minutes,” could have sufficed. I am a nurse; my apologies if I was in my navy blue work scrubs. I had a long day and all I wanted was a piece of dessert! While I did still purchase a dessert (my friend did not since she was so turned off by the service), the overall customer service was subpar; not even a simple offer of water was extended during my visit, not even checking in to ask me how I liked everything, etc., She also had no issue (as also someone previously mentioned), with acknowledging everyone else though. It did feel like discrimination because maybe I looked way younger than my age, being 40. If you have cameras in your establishment, please review them, as there is no exaggeration on my part (check between 7:55pm-8:08pm). I hope for improved training and attention to customer needs for a more welcoming experience in the future, if I ever decide to...
