Good old fashioned spot... lots of regulars but they are friendly. The neighbourhood sure has changed but there are now more stores and it's less dangerous when I first went there 25 years ago. Case in point: the biker bar across the street is now a Starbucks (with a friendly staff). What's nice is that there are no big box stores or brand name stores, everything is still small shops with people who seem to care... but I digress. Done Right Inn, funny name, is not full of people who are done right in (i.e. - hammered). The place has some class but you can still get a good ol' pint and there are usually some nice micros on tap. ...

It's a one-stop shop if you want to play some sort of Toronto Cliches Bingo/scavenger hunt, complete with manbuns, overweight barfly complaining about "white male privilege" (in the context of a busy professional who lives on Ossington and has the gall to want a dog), bragging about going to Terroni(!), and fawning over a parton who used to live in L.A. It was almost like walking into a sitcom.
Bathrooms reasonably clean. Couch could use a deep clean. Service was reasonable, but say thank you when you're getting 20% on each drink on a quiet...
Read moreWhat a surprise!!! We were just walking around Queen St to enjoy the great weather and bumped into this exquisit bar. Attracted by the nice playlist (Faith No More was playing where we came in) we just had a couple of drinks and roamed around to the back yard... the beautiful creative space braced this minimum 100yo tree so well. The deconstructed piano on the walls is a master piece! The bar tender is very friendly and the crowd is not that far from it either.
