Update: I recently revisited this Eggsmart and noticed a decline in the overall experience. Typically, when I order, I request a change from coffee to tea (trying to cutback), but this time, I was told there are no exceptions, and it only includes coffee. The food was decent, except for the toast, which was still burnt like my last visit. The coffee, ordered with 2 creams and 1 sugar, was bitter and looked inadequately creamed. It seems something has changed since my last visit, and unfortunately, this experience makes me hesitant to return. The most disappointing part was I had ordered take-out, but no utensils were given so I couldn't even eat it till lunch time. --------------------- I visited Eggsmart for takeout for the first time since their renovations, and I must say, the changes are impressive! The restaurant looks fantastic and has a very welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay and enjoy your meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious (although my toast was a little more burnt than I’d like). While the restaurant itself is great, I must say that the parking lot is a bit cramped, and it can be challenging to find a parking spot, especially during peak hours. However, if you’re in the mood for some great bacon and eggs at a great price, it might be worth the wait for a spot. I do suggest you let the chef or staff know to maybe lightly toast the bread, otherwise you might get some crunchy edges.

We visited EggSmart today and unfortunately were very disappointed. This used to be one of our favorite places — about a year ago everything was great, but the quality has gone down significantly. 1. The potatoes were extremely dry and tasted like leftovers — completely inedible. 2. A child, who seemed to be with one of the employees, was running around the dining area and even going into the kitchen. This is unprofessional and also a safety concern. 3. The food quality has noticeably declined — it simply didn’t taste good anymore, as if the ingredients or the chef changed. 4. We asked for water at the beginning, but it was only brought near the end of our meal. 5. When the water was finally brought, the bottle was greasy and dirty, and the cap was almost black — this raises serious concerns about hygiene and sanitation. 6. It also took very long to receive the check. The staff appeared unorganized and untrained. It’s really disappointing to see how much the quality has dropped. We hope management addresses the cleanliness, food quality, and staff training issues — otherwise, the restaurant will continue losing regular customers.

The Eggsmart on O'Connor Drive is a great spot to go in East York if you're craving a cheap but yummy breakfast. We tried the chorizo bowl and simply 2 eggs. We also ordered a side of sweet potato fries. My favourite part of the meal was definitly the sweet potato fries. They come with a dip that was so tasty I had to spread it onto some other food items on my plate 😅 The servers are very nice, making sure to check on you often and ensuring that you know they make their orange juice in-house. It is actually really cool to watch the machine take a full orange and spit out two halves and a bunch of juice. We tried the juice and it does no disappoint! My only issue with the restaurant was that it was a bit small and there was not much room for parking. I take the TTC so it doesn't bother me, but I could see some frustrated people in the parking lot 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would give this place a zero if it was possible. Me and my boyfriend came by to Eggsmart for a late breakfast/ lunch because I was craving to eat breakfast ( one of my pregnancy cravings). I live in the area and was like why not quickly go by and eat. I arrived at 2:30pm and was denied service because they were “closing”, mind you it states that they close at 3pm. 2 staff members ( a kitchen guy and a woman who looked like she could either be a server or host) were extremely rude and aggressive for no actual reason as I couldn’t believe that they were denying service 30 minutes before closing. When I asked if there was a manager card that I could contact the kitchen guy got even more aggressive and said you can just go online. The experience was overall about 5 minutes long but was the most awful 5 minutes filled with staff members literally ganging up on me. I was never a fan of Eggsmart to begin with as there are wayyy better breakfast places in the city, but just for connivence I wanted to give a try and when I say never again.. NEVER AGAIN. The worst hospitality and accommodation, and even if they couldn’t provide service due to “closing”; at least be kind about it. It’s extremely hard to believe that a place can stop taking service 30 -35 mins before closing and only do takeout. And if so at least state it on your door/ online that your hours of operation is until 2:30 pm and only will do takeout. I promise you there are wayyy better breakfast/ lunch spots in the city that will ensure you enjoy the food and overall experience and Eggsmart is definitely not that place. Save your money and time and go somewhere else that actual know what...

Went to Eggsmart 19th Nov. 2024 at 6:58 am, was the very first customer. I have been here before and am generally happy with the service. But this time, something surprising happened, I specifically told the server I would like to have the 9 before 10 deal ( 9 dollars for a breakfast before 10 am).

I placed one order for Western style sandwich and replaced the coffee with green tea.

The second order was an omelette, and my dad wanted veggies and I asked her if we can have a veggie omelette instead, to which she nodded, we also replaced the Homestyle fries with French fries, she didn't mention that it would be an extra charge, but I asked her and she said it would be $1 extra. Also I asked her if we could have the turkey bacon for the protein which comes part of the 9 dollar deal, she nodded

Fast forward, we get the food on table and got done with eating.

And guess what, the final bill appeared and was very surprising, so instead of 9 + 9 + 1 = 19 before tax, it was a 36 dollar before tax. Upon asking the server said that because I asked for onions in my omelette it is not covered under the 9 dollar deal and so instead of adding an extra charge for the onion she billed each and every item separately and instead of an under 20 dollar breakfast for two people I ended up paying close to 40 dollars, double of what I expected to pay

Very...
