I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant based on the numerous positive reviews. I hate to be negative or even judgemental when I know restaurants are having a tough time with business. That being said I wanted to say my order was for take out. The initial order was incorrect and I didn't notice until I got home. I ordered Chilli chicken dry crispy beef dry and vegetable fried rice. The dishes were full of dough or batter with barely any meat. I went back to the restaurant and they were very courteous and tried to correct by giving me a Chilli chicken not dry which just didn't taste right. The crispy beef also didn't taste right. I appreciate the restaurants effort but I feel when I'm spending $51.00 once a week on a dinner for myself I think it should be acceptable and maybe I am a bit picky but I ve eaten other Hakka restaurants and this is the first time I refused to eat the food. I think the people should be aware that the food quality and consistency does not match the reviews. I'm very hesitant to write a negative review but the taste of the meat or lack there of or whatever is in the food needs to be addressed. It's not fair to the consumer as the dishes are not expensive but they are definitely not...

Great tasty food delivered to your table super fast.

Update of 24th August 2025: Deducting 2 stars. Their best server probably left the job. Now they have hired an incompetent girl who forgets the order and provides wrong information.

We ordered a simple tiny bowl of boiled noodles (without oil, without spice) for our 2 year old daughter. The earlier server would normally give it for free because the quantity is too small to bill. This lady billed us $5 and gave us a big plate of noodles that had a lot of oil. When we enquired about it, she said it does not have any oil.

Next we ordered a small bowl of boiled rice (without salt, without oil). This time she said she will make sure that the chef does not add anything. She forgot the whole thing. When we asked about it, she said she didn't recall this and she can put a new order. Before leaving she asked us to put a review. So, here's the detailed review.

Anyways we simply paid the bill and left. Their food is good. So if you're ordering take-away you'd be fine. The issue is only with the new server : She has half baked information. You can't really trust her words. You need to confirm with the chef. And there's always a risk that she messes...

Was craving good Indian Hakka Chinese living downtown Toronto options are lesser than GTA. We decided to try Everest Hakka House as per the Google reviews. Sad to say the food was disappointing. I do understand that Hakka Chinese can be oily and spicy( fundamentals ) but how can they make the Soup so Oily? It seemed as if I was drinking OIL 😱😵‍💫 The chilli garlic mix veggies was totally not what I expected, instead it was some deep fried tasteless balls in a sickening sweet tomato sauce with bits of green chilli. Again all I could taste was oil sugar and lots of greasiness. The Hakka noodles were decent and rice was totally insipid lacking taste and flavour. That made me sick and resulted in tummy ache and loose motions. Would never go back to this restaurant and Would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Eat only if you like Oily greasy food. I had called the restaurant but was not given any definite solution. I feel I grossly Wasted Money and food ( most of it was thrown away) And in the bargain fell sick . Please stay away from this...

We came here for dinner on a Saturday! Based on the highly rated reviews we expected it to be packed but there were plenty of seats available even though the restaurant is not very big. We didn't have to wait and the food came out pretty quick. the menu is extensive and there was a lot to choose from. You can also choose your spice level. The main dishes do not come with rice so we had to order a rice dish on the side. They didn't have crispy ginger beef which is our go-to dish at any Hakka restaurant, so we picked ginger beef which we hoped was the same but it wasn't. It was still good - not crispy unfortunately but had lots of sauce. We paired it with Pineapple Chicken Fried Rice which was delicious and the portion was quite generous compared to the ginger beef. The service was prompt but not super welcoming (no smile or facial expression from the time we stepped in until we left even though we tipped them quite well). Overall the food was ok and service could be better. But nothing to rave about. Expected better based on the reviews.

Tried them for the first time. Service was very good. Waitress was actually knowledgeable about dishes and directed us well towards items we would like. Chili chicken was ok. Crispy but still with sauce. Wasnt a big fan of the sauce however. The HOT GARLIC CHICKEN was actually very delicious and i would recommend it. I wasnt a big fan of the house chicken noodles. It was ok at best. The manchurian soup was interesting different but good. The FISH PAKORA WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and perfectly cooked. Crispy not overly done that creates that hint of bitterness and practically melted in my mouth. The drinks were fairly priced. The food portions left a bit wanting and the prices were a bit higher than expected but all in all a good experience.
