I have been going to this restaurant before and after quite a while, decided to drop by again. I asked if they accepted credit as I did not want to pay cash or use my debit card and ordered a beef shawarma combo. The guy making the sandwich said there would be an additional 25c per sandwich which was fine with me as I was planning to have the combo of shawarma, fries and pop. As I went to the counter to pay, I told the cashier my order for the combo and when I showed him the method of payment, he also informed me that there would be an additional charge of 25c which again I said was ok. He started to place my order in the register and I paid for it, but as he gave me my food, he did not give me any fries and when I inquired and told him it was a combo, he started to ask me in a raised voice why I was discussing it with him and not the guy who made my food. I told him that I told both of them (cashier and sandwich maker) earlier before that it was a combo meal that I wanted. He muttered something and charged me individually for the price of the fries which I ended up paying for now in cash. As I sat down and ate, both of them were also muttering something in their language and would glance at me which really made me uncomfortable. Now I have been a customer numerous times here, perhaps not as often and I viewed this restaurant in high esteem before but after tonight, I do not think I will visit or recommend it. Food is great but service...

If I could give zero stars I would. The old location always had fresh pita, veggies & chicken/beef. Their new location is terrible. They lowered the quality of the meat. Also, business is really slow, they don’t have as much customers therefore, causing the meat to stay for days and you can tell as well from the veggies as they’re all looking saggy and if you pay attention their colour is also dull. I asked the person working, why the meat and vegetables looked like that and his answer was “if we were to throw everything that got a little old we wouldn’t be in business” as he was mixing very old looking meat with new one. He literally said I don’t understand the shawarma business when I mentioned that other places like tasty shawarma just a few blocks had line ups of customers because they serve fresh food and include extra sauce and even fries in the sandwich for free.

Customer service: very bad

Food quality: low

Accommodations: ZERO, since you have to pay for every little thing

It’s very unfortunate what happened to this place. But like all things, every good thing comes to an end I guess. I truly believe they’ll have complaints to the health ministry over food poisoning and that’s the only thing that would prevent the owner from trying to save every little penny at the health expense of his...

Re-fried fries, need I say more?

It could be a night time thing...

People have given this place good reviews. I came at night and found the opposite!

Chicken was dry and hard and lacked any real flavor - probably old and lost whatever goodness it once had.

Fries were re-fried (yes, I watched the guy scoop up old fries and put them the fryer!)

Maybe if I came during the day things would literally be night and day, but for a night time review things were not good.

FULL RATINGS: Flavour ..........0.5 out of 2 - old meat/fries Portions.........0.5 out of 1 - food to garbage Service...........0.0 out of 1 Atmosphere...1.0 out of 1

TOTAL...........2 out of 5

In response to the owner. I witnessed the guy do it!

The reason I didn't complain was, in spite of thinking it was a horrible idea to re-fry fries, I thought, "who knows, maybe it won't turn out that bad." My original guess that it was a horrible idea turned out to be correct.

The restaurant was empty at the time. After a while an African couple came and ordered. A short while after that, a police officer.

Older man with a mustache was serving.

This was on Mon. Jun 17 2019 at around 9 PM. Not only that, the fries tasted a little off. I ate a few fries and then threw the rest in...

Ordered online, for a beef plate shawarma, extra onions, and 2 different sauces. Upon arrival I had told them my name and that it was for a pickup, they had then asked what I ordered as my name was not good enough, ive told them the exact order, then they had asked to see my phone which was fine, the older guy then proceeds to ask me why I order online, I reply back that I like to be in and out quickly as I work. The second guy asks to see my phone then starts pressing on options like subscribe on door dash to their restaurant, which I did not appreciate.. very awkward experience, not quite the way you should treat your customers. I had also asked for extra onions and another sauce which wasn't present in my order. I do not recommend...

This place has the best shawarma in town and I've been coming here for well over a decade. Likely two decades. Unfortunately, last time I had such a terrible experience so I just wanted to give you a heads up to at least avoid the same experience. I paid with a debit and for some reason my phone messed up and the MasterCard was charged. The guy said you need to pay the Mastercard fee which it was supposed to be like $0.75 or something but they don't have cash so I paid that with debit and then they charged me another $0.75 to charge me the $0 .75 🤦🏻‍♂️😅 I understand they need to cover the cost but there were so many better ways of handling it and the shawarma just wasn't worth it ...

This place was suggested to me by Google Maps, one day and I decided to try it out. The service wasn't too friendly but the food was tasty. The chicken had a good flavour, and both the falafels & fries were made to order which really added to the freshness. We ordered: - 2 chicken shawarma sandwiches - 2 falafel sandwiches - & 1 large fries All of this was only $24! The best part about this place is the value for money. Two sandwiches for $8.84 is an insanely good deal and definitely worth trying once. Overall it was a pretty good first experience. I think I would probably come back here if I'm in the area.
