Visited from Niagara Falls after reading so many good reviews. Upon entering at 9:10pm I was told that the "kitchen will close in 15 minutes". Did not let us dine in. And turned us away.... first time here. Will never come back here again. The very first thing when I walked in the lady did was looked at her watch and took a deep breathe as if she didn't want anyone else to come in. When she realized what she did..she said hi. So we left and before I walked out she said you can do takeout. To which I said no thanks.

  • no change in above review. And this is my reply after your response:*

Your staff did not do the right thing. You make it sound as if it was my first time visiting a restuarant "so close to the closing hour" can you please tell me what is close to the closing hour? Does it mean 15 minutes before closing or 45 plus minutes before closing????Because in my dictionary and anyone else's who is reading this does not mean 50 minutes!!!

Facts are Facts! I walked in at 9:10 (you close at 10). Your staff gave me the option to take out and shrugged her shoulders when I asked why I couldn't dine in. She kept looking at her watch. I was not welcomed. She let me walk out of your restaurant 50 minutes before closing!

This is not my first time being informed about the kitchen hours. Why in anyone in their right mind get upset if they were told about kitchen hours. You are putting a blanket over what happened.

Your staff told me I could do take out. Clearly your kitchen could make us food.

Im absolutely shocked by the disrespectful response back from you and not to mention the insult. I know and everyone knows you guys have cameras. Check what happened when we walked in. We weren't just informed the way you described it. We were informed very rudely. Check your cameras and see how long I stood there in shock and tried to ask your staff member why we weren't allowed to dine in. She kept looking at her watch. It was more than being just informed. We were denied dine in. That's the end of the story and several people who were dining in witnessed and heard what happened. So please don't try to cover it up.

You lost a customer. If you had only apologized and understood what happened and offered something anything. I would have changed my mind about the review and probably tried it again. I came to get Armenian/Lebanese taste. I have many friends and relatives who go to places on my recommendations. I eat out a lot this isn't my first time posting a review. I give nothing but 5 stars. But honestly your service is absolutely pathetic. I'm sure the food taste ok.

I strongly urge someone who witnessed this incident to support what happened here so we can...

I’ve tried so many times, to just ignore the bad service, the mistakes, and the bad ethics that this restaurant has.

The restaurant was good at the beginning when it just got opened but after about 8-12 months it became a hit or miss situation.

First of all, they really don’t work with enthusiasm at all and they don’t approach with “customer first” attitude. I had 3 bad experiences on different occasions and over all terrible customer service other than the acting of being professional and nice.

One time we put an order for a specific time to pickup and it was done way earlier and the food was cold.

Another time I walk in, and they didn’t have mask on, they all had their masks down, and when I talked to them about it, they said “I’m Armenian and they know me” so it’s fine. Guess what? weeks later I order a food here again and there is a piece of hair in it.

And for the last time which made me write this review, the fries felt like it was microwaved and the chicken as well, as if it was a leftover burned chicken that they microwaved.

The restaurant looks pristine and the marketing and presentation is outstanding as well, it makes you feel how great the restaurant is, however, the organic part of the restaurant which is customer service and food quality overall is terrible, their portion sizes are inconsistent, and the quality of food degraded.

Another issue that I realized after a pickup is that I paid $70 for 3 meals and drinks, which it’d be a cost of sitting in a restaurant, not sure why I’d come back and spend for such bad service and bad quality food with small portions.

I wanted so hard to keep giving the restaurant a chance as I’m Armenian and would like to support Armenian business, but I don’t think that will ever happen again, and I also would recommend you to just be aware of the incidents that I went through.

By all means you can visit and spend for overpriced food with a hit or miss good food, with some act of professionalism and enthusiasm, but the fact is, that it has a terrible service with inconsistent...

Lavash Authentic Armenian Restaurant in Toronto is a hidden gem that brings the vibrant flavors of Armenia right to your plate. As an Armenian cuisine enthusiast, I was thrilled to discover this culinary treasure.

From the moment you walk in, the warm and welcoming ambiance makes you feel like part of the family. The staff at Lavash are incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to share their passion for Armenian cuisine and help you navigate the menu.

The menu at Lavash features a delightful selection of traditional Armenian dishes that capture the essence of the country's culinary heritage. Whether you're craving juicy kebabs, flavorful dolma, or hearty stews, you'll find it all here. Each dish is prepared with care and attention to detail, showcasing the authentic flavors and ingredients of Armenia.

One dish that stole my heart was the Armenian barbecue. The perfectly grilled meats, seasoned to perfection, were incredibly tender and bursting with flavor. Paired with aromatic rice pilaf and fresh salads, it was a truly satisfying meal.

The star of the dining experience at Lavash is undoubtedly the lavash bread. Baked fresh in-house, it is soft, warm, and incredibly delicious. The bread perfectly complements the flavors of the dishes and is a staple of Armenian cuisine.

What I appreciate most about Lavash is the personalized touch. The staff took the time to recommend dishes based on my preferences, making sure I had a memorable dining experience. Their genuine warmth and hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal.

Lavash Authentic Armenian Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic taste of Armenia in Toronto. Prepare to be transported to a culinary journey filled with mouthwatering flavors, warm hospitality, and a...

FOOD: 4/5 We ordered a combo for 2 for $49+tax. I was blown away by Baba Ganoush, Mouttabal, and Cheese Borak. My wife really liked the aforementioned items and Kebbeh. Rice was very tasty as well. Meat dishes left me disappointed though. Shish Tawook, Filet Mignon, and Kebab were all dry. They were all well done. Such a waste of meat. Normally, you expect the waiter to ask, "How do you want your meat? Rare, medium rare, medium or well done." Not here. They brought out 3 dry skewers that I ended up eating because I was hungry, not because I was enjoying the meal. SERVICE: 3/5 Nothing special. The waitress didn't even ask if I wanted the meat well done, medium or medium-rare. I paid $50 for a meal that I partially enjoyed due to overcooked meat. Not sure what the tip is expected for which starts at 15% on the payment terminal. A tip is earned for above and beyond service, when the server is particularly attentive to a customer. When an empty glass gets refilled without you noticing. When someone comes over and asks, "Is everything is ok with your meal?", etc. However, when the waitress can't even pack the food to go and you have to perform a service she's supposed to do, what's the tip for? My own labour? When you go to a restaurant, you expect a certain level of service and attentiveness. After all, I can eat at home just fine. Tipping is for great service. Not for ordinary or subpar service. WASHROOM: 5/5 One of the best and cleanest restaurant washrooms I've seen. A clean washroom is always a good sign when it comes to restaurants.
