Famous Fried Chicken & Burgers — Restaurant in Toronto

I have become a regular at Famous Fried Chicken & Burgers, and it is due to the combination of their incredibly tasty food and their exemplary customer service. Whenever I place my order, whether it’s by phone or in store at the counter, I always receive the friendliest and most patient service. They have some really good daily specials, and their portion sizes are quite generous. Every single thing I have tried from here has been amazing! I have tried their famous fried chicken, both the dark meat and the white meat, and it always juicy and crispy without being too greasy at all. The chicken is flavourful and has a good spice to it, and goes well with the gravy they provide. The fries are also really good, they are seasoned to perfection and are nice and crispy. Their wings were absolutely delicious. Their chicken tenders are also really crispy and taste great too. I have also tried their fish and chips which were also really good. I’m amazed at the variety of food this restaurant has and how they manage to pull off every dish so well! Another thing I noticed is that they have some items which are remnants of the restaurant that used to be at this location, ASAP. I used to love coming to ASAP for their Wraptor, a unique wrap with tandoori chicken and fries inside, and I was sad when I saw that they had closed down. However, when I saw that it was still on the menu here at Famous, I was pretty excited. And having tried the Wraptor from here, I can certify that it is just as good, if not better, than what I would get in the old days from ASAP. I’ve also tried a couple of their burgers, and they were exquisite. I’m really happy to have discovered Famous Fried Chicken & Burgers because now I have a restaurant that is nearby and that I can trust to be consistent and reliable with their food. I wish nothing but the utmost success for this restaurant, because it’s clear that everyone who works here tries their best to provide a fantastic dining experience and that is not always easy to come by nowadays. I ordered the Chicken Sandwich and the Classic Poutine. The chicken sandwich is cooked to perfection. Beautiful crispy breading and a moist center. The sauce they use doesn't take away from the chicken itself on the burger and only builds onto it. Which is just how I like my toppings. The Owner of this establishment is very kind. Good conversationalist and clearly cares about customer satisfaction. The poutine is delicious. The fries are extremely tasty and the cheese curds are cheese curds. (Which is fantastic as many restaurants just use shredded mozzarella) The gravy for the poutine is also delicious but a bit salty for my taste, still a very good poutine though. My only recommendation for the store is to add a spicy variation of their sauce for their chicken. As spicy and chicken go together very well. I recommend a habanero based sauce or mayo to keep with the in store made theme. Other then that this place gets a 5/5 for me. My expectations were high considering that I had taken a friend with me, and we both found ourselves wishing for a bigger portion of fries and chicken.
