This review has been written to address the owner of this beautiful establishment.
I can easily tell that you have worked very hard to create this establishment from scratch.
Your location is great. Atmosphere is inviting and the interior is clean.
Food is wonderful, delicious, healthy and hearty. The ingredients are quality.
Each cut of meat and source of animal have been chosen very carefully.
Your chef executes his culinary art at high levels. I can see a big deal of care going into every dish.
But when it comes to the service, unfortunately with a sad heart, I have to inform you that your wait staff is damaging the reputation of your business.
Unprofessional service that your customers get from your wait staff does not pair well with your nicely prepared cuisine.
If you do not take your precautions, they may bury this beautiful establishment into the ground.
You need to train them according to service industry standards.
Human oriented professional service should be the main base of your restaurant.
Your wait staff should be thought to serve your customers with respect and kindness.
Service should be genuine but official.
If a customer asks or orders something in a restaurant, It has to be brought to the customer.
Customer doesn't have to ask three different servers, three different times.
In the end, the customer doesn't have to stand up, walk to the counter, get it by himself and bring it to his table.
People choose your restaurant among thousands of other restaurants.
They keep coming back on a regular basis.
When they keep coming, everything goes accordingly.
But if they stop coming because of the reasons mentioned above, then it may create a big problem for you.
Please fix this issue as soon as possible.
So that we can continue to recommend your restaurant as one of the best places to eat in Toronto to our neighbours, families, friends, colleagues and other...
Read moreReview on service: Did not feel welcome at all coming to this restaurant, it was my 1st time & will be my last time. We arrived at around 8pm so the restaurant was not too busy. When we requested to sit at the booth, they said tables were reserved and today is the last day of Eid which we were aware as we have Islamic friends who were celebrating as well and we wanted to experience having some Turkish food tonight. After dining for 1.5 hours, plenty of booths were empty the entire time, but they squeezed us into one table for 2, plates were big so there was barely enough space for us to eat. Within a span of 5 minutes after we sat down, we had 3 different servers come to us asking what do we want on the menu, but none of them brought us water. We haven’t gotten a chance to even look at the menu in detail and we felt pressured to order asap, while seeing other tables were not treated like that. Regardless of your religion, race, sexuality, we felt very judged and discriminated. It was obvious the servers treat us differently compared to other tables. Very disappointing and uncomfortable experience.
Review on food: We ordered the mixed pide, mixed doner, and adana kebab. The pide was not as good (just tasted like a regular flatbread, nothing too crazy), but meats on the doner and kebab plate were very flavourful, so quantity, quality, and price of the food was good.
Overall review: Service was not good, felt like they want us to quickly eat and leave, but the food was good. Definitely NOT LGBT-friendly, not welcoming, this is Canada, sad to say this, but this was what happened. You don’t have to agree with the choices we make, but you should treat others the way you want to be treated, and that was not what...
Read moreI recently visited Istanbul Kebab House, and it was truly a flavorful experience rooted in authentic Turkish cuisine. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality, and the star of the experience was Selin, one of the employees. Her energy and smile immediately made me feel welcome. She ensured my food was up to top-notch quality standards and checked in throughout my visit to make sure everything was perfect.
I ordered the chicken kofte and the chicken shish barbecue platter, served with fragrant rice and fresh sides. The meat was tender, juicy, and grilled to perfection — full of bold Turkish spices that hit the spot. The rice was fluffy and complemented the rich flavors beautifully. You can tell the food is made with care and authenticity.
Selin’s service stood out. She was attentive without being intrusive, and her warm and respectful attitude really enhanced the whole dining experience. It’s rare to come across someone who makes you feel like a valued guest rather than just a customer.
Because of Selin’s excellent service and the amazing food, I’ll definitely be visiting again — and recommending Istanbul Kebab House to...
