Gabby's - Dundas Street West — Restaurant in Toronto

Took my Irish relatives to this place as it’s my go to spot in my neighbourhood and theyre visiting from Boston and I remember seeing something in the menu about some irish nachos or something so K wanted them to try them to see how authentic the nachos are . Gabbys was the place we went to I like to go here once in a while because it’s my go to place for brewskis and wingz which I’m always always a fan of and I like a lot.. but I’ve never tried the JAMESON® IRISH NACHOS Waffle fries covered in melted cheese, topped with bacon, chives, & drizzled with a house made Jameson Irish Whiskey glaze. MUST BE LEGAL DRINKING AGE TO ORDER & CONSUME” so I wanted to try it with the irish to see if it was just like they are in boston so we got them as well as my usual wings and beerskiweerski . And but so when I ordered them and when they came to the table because it was a hot day out a whole lot of wasps came down to the back patio and swarmed all over our irish nachos and the first thought that came to my head was whether like the menu says the wasps were legal drinking age and whether wasps have their own sort of drinking age and social systems and the like. And so anyway the wasps were all over the nachos and hahahahaha my irish relatives said in their bostonian irish accents something like the wahsps are pahking their wahsp cahs ahlll ovah ah nahchos or something more witty but whatever but the wasps were on them and then I started hitting the plate really hard with my shoe and after I took off my shoe and started hitting the plate and nachos really really hard and the restaurant got a bit quieter except for the sound of me smashing the wasps to pieces with my jordan ones most of the wasps had died but one got away and stung my cousin and he yellllled yeouch but then they and I settled down and continued eating the nachos and they...

My recent encounter with Gabby’s through UberEats left much to be desired. Despite ordering two burger combos, the experience was marred by the appalling quality of the beef patties. Upon unwrapping the packages, it was evident that both patties were severely burnt, imparting a strong taste of charcoal that overshadowed any other flavor.

Seeing burnt patties should have prompted immediate action to remake the order rather than serving it to customers. Such negligence reflects poorly on Gabby’s commitment to delivering quality food.

Overall, my experience with Gabby’s via UberEats was marred by the unacceptable quality of the food received. It’s my hope that Gabby’s takes this feedback constructively and implements measures to ensure that such instances do not recur in the future. Ordered Gabbys through just eat. Got a call ten minutes later from just eat saying the restaurant claimed I cancelled my order. I told them I hadn't canceled anything so they put me on hold and called the restaurant. I was then told the restaurant said they wouldn't deliver to my house because I had previously requested to pay cash at the door and then refused to pay. I had never ordered from them before but was told to order with debit instead.

So I ordered with debit. Half an hour later I was told the order was cancelled. I called the restaurant and was told "your girlfriend called to cancel the order". I told them no such thing happened, so I was put on hold and then told "the problem is on just eat's end". I asked if I could just order over the phone and was told no.

Just eat has confirmed to me that both times Gabby's cancelled the order. After talking to my housemate I learned that they had a problem with Gabby's as well. Apparently Gabby's refuses to deliver to my house as they are currently at odds with my housemate after mixing up an order and causing problems with her allergies.
