We tried the Classic and Spicy Meatball sandwiches and really enjoyed both. They don't have tables for dine in but a park bench out front. They also have a pantry of different Asian condiments and freezers of different locally made foods like dumplings, pies, empanadas and of course their house made ice cream.
Classic - you know what to expect with a classic cold cut and with a $16 price tag, expect to have some good quality bread, fresh vegetables and a decent amount of deli meat. We really liked the fact that they had dressed the shredded lettuce, a clever way to incorporate some acidity in a salad dressing without making the sandwich too wet. Only thing was one end of the sandwich had too much mayo which was squeezing out of the sandwich and dominated the final bites.
Spicy Meatball - excellent meatballs that are tender and flavourful. It has a good amount of cheese and tomato sauce. We found the basil pesto mayo to lean heavy on the mayo and less so on basil pesto. Would have liked to have a stronger pesto flavour in the pesto, and reinforced in the marinara and even bigger pieces of fresh basil.
Overall, a really great sandwich shop with quality food and...
Read moreI have been visiting Good Behaviour (both locations) for a couple of months now and it's my favourite ice cream spot in the city.
They offer a wide range of flavours, but I find myself coming back for more of their birthday cake, bourbon butter pecan, and Gertie's peanut butter pie ice cream. The Birthday Cake is my current favourite, it's like a celebration in every spoonful. haha. Honestly, most of the ice cream I have tried is delightful. It just depends on what you're in the mood for! The quality of the ice cream is exceptional—creamy and lots of flavour!
They also offer a selection of sub sandwiches. My personal favourites is the classic and caprese sandwiches. Packed with flavour and generously portioned, it leaves me feeling satisfied and full!
I appreciate Good Behaviour's attention to detail in both their ice cream and sub sandwiches. The staff is friendly, the shop itself has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and they also sell other local business food products as well! Support local! It's definitely a place I'll be recommending to others and will...
Read moreI hate that I have to write this review because it’s not about the food, which is good, it’s about the people. Management is completely lost, and ownership comes off with pretentiousness you’d expect from a doomed Italian restaurant that refuses to mix parm and truffle because of some 100-year-old “tradition.” For a neighbourhood sub shop, customer service needs to be a priority and they forgot that.
The no-substitution policy is abysmal. You're not some fine dining experience and the decisions they made on food aren't even that good. No one wants to operate under a dictatorship and if sub shops were country's, Good Behaviour would be North Korea.
For the prices they charge, you should be able to get the sub you want—not what some wannabe MasterChef dictates. You’re a sub shop. Stop pretending you’re the best in the city—Bellybusters and Lambos are still better and just...
