Okay. I never posted a review but I had to do it now. I just ordered from this place for the first time via Doordash. After 1 hour the order arrived. Here is what I ordered: Nigiri Sushi 8 Pieces $22.00 Creamy Pork Belly (Teishoku (Meal Sets)) $15.00 Both are served with miso soup, salad, rice and 2 side dishes. I attached some pictures of what arrived. No miso soup, no salad, no rice, no 2 side dishes for both meals. The sushi was actually sashimi with the most unbelievably small pieces of fish in the world. Like, it was barely bigger than my fingernail. So aside from this not being what I ordered, missing all the sides, it was less than an appetizer's worth of food for $22 bucks. At least it looked pretty I guess? The pork belly was a piece of meat in sauce, in this cup and nothing else. It was entirely overcooked and not edible. I threw it out. Don't buy from here, seriously. What the hell was this? I'm actually still sitting here in shock. Will be getting full refund from Doordash.

Surprisingly good Japanese (I would not consider it a true izakaya, as there are no skewers). We had randomly chosen this place as it had space at the time we wanted to eat, and it was a good choice! Lots of variety and I can't say a single dish we chose was bad. They were all seasoned and cooked well, not too strong on any one flavour or spice. Normally, I find mackerel too fishy, but this was spot on. Really pleasant to eat. Loved the salmon, which is also not something I usually say at Japanese restaurants. Tako wasabi was good too. The tartare was a weak spot. Cocktails are pretty weak, but there is a good sake list with decent prices. Really helpful guides on choosing the right sake. Service was efficient and fast, and we were never left searching or waiting. I'm surprised it wasn't busier because it actually was the best place we visited in the area.

Unfortunately I only got service 1/3 times I've been here. The first time I got service, I was in a very elaborate outfit after a big event, and the service was very friendly and timely despite how busy they were. The second time, I was given a takeout menu and then forgetten about because they were really busy, fair enough. The third time I went alone (I looked like a well-dressed loner?) right around opening and there was no service at all. I think they were prepping but why unlock the front door at all? Maybe I was just impossible to ignore the first time. The food IS good, I love the yuzu sauce in their pasta salad and karaage, but my experiences so far have been hit or miss with the service. I'll hazard a guess that they prioritize larger groups.

I came with a total of 9 people today and this was by far the worst place I've ever been to for Japanese//Korean food. The food was pretty alright, I would say thats the only reason for the 1 star. As for the service, it was terrible. My cousin ordered their steak here, and over an hour pass and his food still hasn't arrived. The server was informed of this and twice she told him that his food would arrive "soon". We ended up having to cancel it since everyone is finished their food and his food hasn't arrived yet. The server showed attitude and was mad that we cancelled the food. As for the billing, I understand that we were informed of how splitting the bill works, they can only split the bill up to 4 separate bills with all of them equal in price. Meaning if you go out with a co-worker or group of people, you would be paying for their portion as well. I have NEVER been to a restuarant where you cannot split the bill and pay your own portion, this is honestly ridiculous and stupid! If anyone is coming here, do NOT come as a big group because if you have more than 8 people, you have to pay 15%. graditude fee. They clearly do not deserve the 15% since they provided poor service to their customer. I honestly would not come here again, if you do come, come at your own risk and be prepared for...

Went there with a friend as it was the restaurant of his choice. It was on a Saturday evening and while it was fairly busy, we were able to get a seat right away. Prior to coming, I looked this place up and noticed from the picture of the menu that things were quite pricy but I wanted to try another Izakaya place in Toronto and assuming that this is another store of the same franchise, I decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was kind of nice and intimate, but it was loud and was hard to hear one another.

We ordered creamy pork belly, oden, and salmon lover (I think that was what it was called - it was basically spicy salmon roll). Had to wait quite a bit and they came in two waves.

Pork belly was sweet and a bit salty, but very tender. It was a bit hard to eat but the meat was soft, and the mashed sweet potato went quite well with it.

Oden came with those portable gas stoves so we were able to have it nice and warm. In terms of taste, it was what I expected it to be - nothing special here.

The roll was quite big and longer than I thought it would be. It wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be, but the taste was good.

Overall, they had good food, but as I've said before, they are quite pricy. Not a place I would come on a...

Would say good food, but the worst service ever. They don’t care about social distancing and everything. They don’t hear what customers saying. Here’s what happened. We came here and asked for the table, there’s some empty tables but they glared at us and kept saying ‘give me one second’, we waited more than 30 minutes after that but they didn’t say anything to us. We finally got our seat and ordered some beer but it never came, we asked them after 20 minutes and they brought it. We ordered a bunch of food because we were still hungry, we only got salad after 30 minutes, nobody came up to us. We asked where our foods are, they said there was some problem with kitchen and they couldn’t make that food even though we ordered before last call. We were trying to talk to manager about what happened today, he kept laughing at us saying ‘Soorry’ Server said their boss got too drunk and were not able to care about customers. He should have been the one who cares about service and customers.

We loved here and used to come here at least 3 times in a week, but we’re never coming back after all...
